Eight For Eight at Whisky Willy's
benefit for The Joe Chithalen Memorial Musical Instrument Lending Library
Friday, November 14, 2008 at 8:00pm
850 Gardiner's Road
Kingston, ON
Contact Info Phone: 613-888-0837

IT'S OFFICIAL! Whiskey Willy's, 850 Gardiner's Road, Kingston in association with Talent Tuners (http://www. talenttuners. ca) and PartyInKingston. com (http://www. partyinkingston. com) are holding a fundraiser on Friday, November 14th with proceeds going to the Joe Chithalen Memorial Music Instrument Lending Library (Joe's M.I.L.L. - http://www. joesmill. org). This is a great cause helping to raise money for the less fortunate who cannot afford instruments, but can sign them out using the library system and enjoy learning without spending money they don't have.

This show is now set!! An incredible lineup, EIGHT FOR EIGHT, eight performers (6-7 recording artists) and only $8 to get in. What a steal for your entertainment dollar! And the best deal you will ever get in Kingston for live music.

*** Stuart from Talent Tuners has scheduled a TV COGECO interview with Christine Donovan and Patrick Donovan at The MILL and will air sometime before the show - will pass along broadcast info when it becomes available - we're also gunning for COGECO to be at Whiskey Willy's LIVE during the show

Walk and Roll for Wally High House
Raising Funds to Raise the Roof

Monday, October 13, 2008
1:30pm - 6:00pm
Lake Ontario Park
King Street West
Kingston, ON

A 5 km walk from Lake Ontario Park to Confederation Basin to support the newly founded Wally High House,
realizing Wally's dream of a permanent home for the charities closest to his heart.

Leaving LOP at 2:00 pm sharp, please be in the parking lot by 1:30 pm.

After the walk, join us at the Kingston Brewing Company to raise a glass of cheer and celebrate Wally's 60th Birthday.

Pledge forms are available at
Renewable Energy of Plum Hollow, 271 Dalton Avenue
and
the Brew Pub, 34 Clarence Street
or
a member of Wally's family.

Don't worry about cooking Thanksgiving dinner - the chefs at the KBC have you covered! They will be offering a Thanksgiving Day special, stuffing and all!

Dessert is on us... October 13 is Wally's birthday!
(there has been a lot of talk about "it would have been his birthday". I, however, maintain that it still *is* his birthday - it is the anniversary of the day he was born.)

So, grab a piece of Birthday Cake and share your memories. What better way to celebrate then surrounded by family and friends!

Wally High Donation night at Stoneys "one sour note"
Our band Crackerman raised $650 on the door plus various instrument donations.
The owner of Stoneys " Im not mentioning this pricks name we all know who he is"
was to pay Soundworks for the sound system rental, which Soundworks was letting
him have at a discount,as it was a CHARITY and DONATION night!!!!
Stoneys found out how much the door " The M.I.L.L" made for charity and decided
he would NOT come good for the sound. We Crackerman had to tell The M.I.L.L that
part of that donation would have to go for the sound system.
I dont think Stoneys has a clue what Charity means or Donation means.
We have played Febfest at Stoneys for 4 years in a row and this will be the last time.
Our band Crackerman is going to let Kingston know just how much of a cheap prick he is.
I hope he enjoyed the beer sales that night $5.70 for a Corona?..please.
Anyways Im getting off track.
Stoneys is not a good place for local bands to play or host any kind of charity night.
The owner is a greedy lier and a two faced prick....Kingston dont need em!

My friend, things will not be the same without you. Yesterday I rode to the place where I said goodbye to you. Although you are gone from here you are not forgotten. Whenever I ride I know you will be there… wide open throttle, white knuckles and a set of straight pipes.

I'm uncertain where the previous msg from Bikertv originated from? Some sort of hacker or spam or such?
Not from BTV.

My most sincere condolences to Wally's friends and family. He'll be dearly missed by us all.

I will miss that smile and those hugs, my heart goes out to his family. Thoughts and prayers are with you. I have written a poem for Wally its the first time ive done any writing for year's ,,,,,

I wish i could have known,
That his journey was so near,
He did not go alone,
As the Angels were very near,
Surrounded by family and loved ones,
Who watched him slowly slip away,

The Angels started singing,
The most beautiful song he heard,
As he travels to the heaven's,
Feeling God's warm embrace,
The cancer leaves his body,
A smile appears on his face,

All the pain is gone now,
Suffering is no more,
The angels hold his hand,
As he's slowly lead away,
As we bow our heads and pray,
He looks back and smiles,

And Wally say's, " its ok",
A soft glow lights up his face,
As he heads for his final journey,
Too this final resting place,
The gates of the heaven's open,
As we hear the angels singing,

We sadly weep,
Amongst the angels wings he departs,
Away from the earth,
But not from our hearts,
God has taken a wonderfull being,
A kind and gentle soul who i will miss seeing,
One who has given so much,
Too carry on he leaves behind,

His Heart and Soul,
To each and everyone,
His loss is hard to handle,
And will never go away,
I will miss you dearly,

*Gone but never forgotten*!

Rest in peace Wally,
Much Love And Respect,
Your Friend,,

Dear Wally, I am so blessed to have known you. You're an inspiration. You showed me how much one man can care and what can happen when he follows his passions. You had many gifts and I thank you for leaving some precious memories. Please give Joe and Joe some big hugs from me... and continue to guide us.
Love Kim

My condolences to Wally's family and friends. Being from Kingston originally and a former student of Joe's I was looking Wally up to say that it was really good to hear that the Joe Show was held in Port Dover this past summer and gaining momentum. I remember my local influences, namely the Anglin Bros. (Electric Mudd and The Delta Rays), Matt Woodward, and Joe Chithalen, and how important they were when I was coming up in sharing the gift of music that is with me today. Wally's commitment to Joe and to making the gift of music accessible for all youth is what really struck me about the man and is what compelled me to look him up. Needless to say I was very pleased to find Wally on MySpace, and equally shocked to then receive the bulletin re Wally's passing... Again, my condolences.

Respectfuly,
Cam
