I just posted two pictures of me & Wally to my "Musical Friends" album. I have many more from back when I sang with him. He had such a love for writing and performing. I have all his music including a song we worked on together from the beginning called "Hey Girl" he later released it as a 45 with Valerie Winters. I'm so glad to be part of the memories with Wally....check out the pictures!...and tell Mary Julie Anne says hello!
Hey Dad, you are a grandfather again. Linaya Fay Kibitlewski. Born 10-19-08, 8lbs 22inches. Wish you were here. It is devestating to me that my children cannot spend time with you. But, I will make sure they know the great man you were.
Ricky play with Sherman Arnold's band, Sherman is a Elvis tribute Artist........it is called The Interstate band, I have seen his show for over 20 yrs now, and when Ricky came aboard, I was like WOW, what a flash from the past!! We had a great time remembering to good old day's!!
Thanks so much fo the add! Wally was a true entertainer!! Always had the people involded, and was a super great guy! His silly antic's with Ricky were so funny!!! We saw him many, many time's, at least once a week!! Great times, awesome memorie's, with a super talent, he is so missed!!! I see Ricky now playing with Sherman Arnold's band. we talked about what fun we all had! If I can find any pic's, I'll pass them to you!! I still have his cassette! God rest my old friend! I come here often to remember the great times we all had with Wally. I miss him terribly, and probably always will. Steve, keep up the good work with this site, and I will be sending you some pics from the Mustang (1990?) and Lucilles (1998-9) as soon as I can get to a scanner. Any idea if there are any cd's around? I used to have a tape, but it has disappeared, along with the home recordings that I made from the Mustang Lounge (Jeff Carpenter era). Would love to introduce Louisville to the great Wally Jackson!
Wally was a great guy and I am sure he is sadly missed by all his friends. Went to see Justine Blazer and one of his old guitar players (Scott) is in her band. sort of brought back some of the old memories. Wally always sang my song when I went to see him. Return to sender, since I was a mailman most of my life.
