Walt, a passion driven singer/songwriter from Johannesburg, South Africa, received his 1st radio airplay in 2003. His sound, defined by a melancholic and warm-distinctive lead voice, the songs are strong, diving deep, with melodies resonating the morning after.
It was an almost impossible dream he chose to follow as an child. Surviving Leukemia, coming out of a family with non musical careers, he constantly had to push the boundaries.
In January 2007 the artist started production on the long awaited album,"until the end". Worked with old time friend and legendary producer, Mark Beling, who is famous for his radio charting success with: Mean Mr Mustard, Lindsay Mcguire, Jacques (Idols), Changing Face.
The 11 track album contains flavors of pop, modern rock, grunge, alternative, adult contemporary and heartfelt ballads. With the experience of constantly doing live shows around Gauteng since 2005, joining and submitting songs to an international A&R company in USA, the artist formed a clear vision of the direction he wanted to go with this album.
Somewhere, the 1'st single recently went to nr 1 on Highveld's Homebrew SA Top 10 Chart and on Puk-fm. In addition the song is currently on daytime rotation on 94.7 and been on the Top10 chart for 11 weeks.
With the single's music video creating a public awareness for The National Missing Kid's Bureau, Walt made headlines on news bulletins across Highveld, 702, K-FM and "Weekend Live" show on SABC2.
The single also recently got chosen as the official theme song for Missing Children SA Campaign Group.
The new album, "Until the End" is set for release to all major CD stores across SA on 25 Nov 08. Will be distributed through the Sheer Sound label.
Walt will be performing with his band around South Africa to promote this new record.

94.7 Highveld, Radio Algoa, RSG, Radio 2000, Red Cap Radio (Mr Price), Tuks-Fm, PUK-Fm, RMR & featured 2 weeks on Jacaranda during daytime airplay. The song also won with listener’s votes on the “Homebrew Show” In addition it got chosen to be used as soundbed for “Matrix” T.V. show currently showing on MK89.
Walt have shared the stage with top artists like: Prime Circle, Love Jones, Arno Carstens, Niemand, J, Mark Beling, Boo, Cassette, Lonehill Estate, the Narrow, amongst others.
Performed music fests like: Woodstock 7, chosen to play Main Stage Woodstock 8, Woodstock 9, Oppikoppi, Nirvana Tribute Shows, Mediatech' 07 Convention and Tuks-FM New Year’s bash.
