Walter Duda is a self-taught musician who has achieved significant radio air play of his music world wide. He is a songwriter and composer who has recorded his original music with many notable professional musicians including Will Lee, John Tropea, Chris Parker, Dave Weckl, Joel Rosenblatt. He has appeared on Manhattan Cable (New York) & Century Cable (Los Angeles), formed a music publishing company, co-founded an independent record label, negotiated a national distribution agreement and performed in many legendary New York City music venues. He has also been a piano instructor at The New England Music Academy in New Haven, CT, a published free-lance music writer and a teacher on the high school level. His earliest influences in music were rock n roll singers Dion and Bobby Darin. Then he became a fan of the vocal harmony arrangements of Brian Wilson (Beach Boys), The Beatles and The Hollies. Next, he was introduced to the soul and rhythms of the Motown sound while he was in Detroit. Then progressive rock groups like King Crimson and Yes caught his imagination. Eventually jazz fusion keyboardists Brian Auger and George Duke inspired him to switch from playing guitar to piano. As a songwriter, he has been influenced by Michael Franks, Mose Allison and Bobby Caldwell.
