| Walt Thompson: General Info
|
| Member Since | 12/20/2006 | | Band Website | smackdab.info | | Band Members | The first 2 songs were written by myself and David Senders. Dilana was so cool to sing these songs for us. No one could have performed them better. Brett Cookingham played all electric and acoustic guitars, and Dan Whiteside was on drums for "Before We Go". Dan Potruche played drums on "This I Know", and Frank Petrilli played accordian. I played the Hammond organ, piano, and bass on both songs.
Ric Plamondon sings "Always Around". "Better Time" was written by myself & Rev. Carl Roberts with The New Breed Orchestra. All songs (except "Better Time") were recorded and produced at my studio in Sherman Oaks. Control room pictures are shown next to a couple of the songs.
The next 2 songs are from my TV catalog that gets played on cable and network shows. | | Record Label | unsigned | | Type of Label | Major |

| About Walt Thompson |
|
I currently play Hammond organ, piano, and sometimes left-handed bass live in several Los Angeles area bands. They include, in no particular order; Magic's Ten Inch Brain, I get to play left-handed bass in this band. More about this 3-piece original and classic rock outfit at magicsteninchbrain.com.; The Samurai Homeboys, 7-piece funk and soul express. More at samuraihomeboys.com; The New Breed Orchestra, 12-piece original funk extravanganza. More at newbreedorchestra.com; I've also recently done shows with the Jon Nichols Band, & Thrive. In 1998, I had the pleasure of performing with the Chris Stills Band on the H.O.R.D.E. tour. I also contribute to a music library that gets my instrumental music placed in many major network and cable TV shows. During the 90's, I played with several smokin' blues bands, including Blues Underground, and The Redhot Blues. I recorded a couple of cds with each band. Blues Underground was signed to Del-Fi Records by Bob Keane after selling a substantial amount of cds locally. We appeared in opening and headlining positions at the House of Blues in Hollywood over 20 times, including opening for John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers, & Junior Walker and the All Stars. I also played with The Lost Highway, Runaway Train, Groove Therapy, Jettison Eddy, and the gospel group The Sweet Singing Cavaliers. Before moving to LA in 1990, I toured the U. S. with Quarter Moon, Spike, Normandie, & Kody Lee.
