Well, the last 16 years have been a crazy journey, with the last 7 being the most interesting - and the most interrupted - of the entire trip. No matter. We're playing better than ever together and have never had more fun.
Atila is Hungarian. His cousin, Robert, hails from just across the Serbian border. Their disagreements are the stuff of legend. And high comedy. Unless, of course, you're in the same room. OK - then they're even more hilarious. This all started back in 1993. Rich added his unique self and talents to the mix around 1996. His background is Polish (and German, for additional effect). Together, they ground more than a few drummers to powder. Then Michael showed up in 2002. The band were on their best behaviour, thinking he would not notice the simmering Slavic emotions. Michael may play drums, but he's not that stupid (well, almost, but not quite). Michael's grandparents were Russian Jews, who ran from the old country to Saskatchewan from pitchfork-wielding neighbours. Needless to say, the influence of our Eastern European roots has always been woven into our songs, and it is our passion for innumerable styles of music that sustains us. It also facilitates colourful arguments. Nothing changes!
We split in 2004 only to reform with renewed inspiration in 2007. It was all too clear: we missed doing what we love the most. We really love this kind of music and yearned to once again play the sounds we once made, even while working with other projects and just living our lives. Since childhood, this music has been in our blood in one form or another.
So, then...in keeping with our original mission: DRINK...DANCE...FUCK!!
Hey People:Dropping by to say hi and that I miss seeing the music live. You were one of the bands that made Commercial drive happen. Any chance of getting together for a gig or 2 in the not too distant future?
Everyone loves a little foreplay. And thank you for adding the band. Keep checking back for more music! Thanks again, and make sure to always be apart of foreplay.
Hey People; I was trying to take in both the Cinderpop show and your show. But it didn't quite work out. I will definately be at Falconetti's on the 18th!!
Hey Waltz People; Haven't been out to one of your gigs in a while. Been so busy working with IMU, fighting jaywalking tickets and life in general. Will be doing the well paid but lame Top 40 dj thing all December for bratty kids who love this superficial, fake crap for the musically challenged!
I have existed from the morning of the world and I shall exist until the last star falls from the night. Although I have taken the form of Gaius Caligula, I am all men as I am no man and therefore I am a God.
