"Rocky Tinder and Eric Phipps’ genre bending duo have to be one of my most pleasant surprises of the year. That old expression “tragically beautiful” comes to mind, and they manage to make me cry a bit, rock out a lot, sing along some, and sometimes do all three at once. The basement was a sweat box for the group’s set but I stuck it out for the first half to to hear their more than apt cover of Kraftwerk’s “Das Model” (one of my all time favorite songs) and their own “Orchards,” which it turns out is e’erybody’s summer evening come down jam. That’s no surprise given that it sounds like what would happen if Ennio Morrccione and Win Butler collaborated on the soundtrack to a Wes Anderson directed sci-fi dramady set on the moon. I whistled the whistling part most of my four mile walk home." -Arya Imig
