Hello,
Thanks for stopping into visit my sight.
Here you will find everything that is part of my life. Karaoke, Live Music, Family, and Friends and my art work.
I have been an entertainer for many years. The very first place that I started singing professionally was at Bobby Mackey's in Wilder Ky.
My Family members and I would go there every Sunday night for the jam secessions and singing contest. I won a few and caught the music bug, I've been entertaining ever since.
First as a front singer for a few bands back in the 80's and 90's. The ones I was known best for, were "Kentucky Silk", my very first band. My father Don Baxter also known as "Hank Day" to his music friends, played and sang in this group with me. Country music along with a little Southern rock and 50 and 60's always seemed to keep the people dancing. The first paying gig was at the VFW hall in Dayton Ky.
Later, dad and I parted ways, I moved to Hamilton Ohio using the same band name and we played all over the Hamilton, Middletown and Dayton Ohio area. Dad stayed in Ky. and started working with Burlene Dean and the Orange Blossom Special.
About 1984, I moved back to Ky. and started fronting for a new group called "Sandy Land" named after my new husbands family farm in Petersburg ky. The farm is called sandy land acres and now runs Haunted Hay rides there every year. With this band, I got to play all over Northern Ky. , Ind. and Ohio. We even went to Georgia and Alabama playing at NCO clubs for the military boys and a chain of Holiday Inns. I met and got to work with many well know musicians. The original members of "The SandyLand Band" were my self, my husband Wayne Stephenson on bass, Chester B. on drums, Jerry Hegg on lead guitar, and a blind picker named Leroy hall that also played a mean lead guitar. I loved these guys and we became like family. We still stay in contact from time to time, but have each went our separate ways. Chester B. has sadly passed on.
Many of the musicians I have worked with were very young then and have went on to become big names in the music world. Take a look at the photos I have on my site, you'll see many of them there that you may recognize.
In 1996 Wayne and I owned a bar in Latonia Ky. We called it the "Wild Wolf Saloon", we also called the band by the same name, the "Wild Wolf Band".
This group consisted of my self and husband Wayne, Chester B., Vera Brady on keys and Jeff Albright on lead guitar. This was one of my favorite groups.
Due to major burn out and a few other factors, we let the bar go and took a rest from music. In 2000 I decided to go back into music but this time as a DJ.
Wayne and I now run a company called Wanda Kay's DJ and Karaoke services. That's right, Karaoke. I know that sounds funny to all you musicians, but I am really loving it!
We DJ weddings, fairs, corporate parties and more. And oddly enough, things really do come full circle if you wait long enough.....I am right back were I first started....Bobby Mackey every Friday and Saturday night running a karaoke show and DJ'ing.
We have other DJs cover at Bobby Mackeys when ever we get another job, so don't be bashful, CALL US IF YOU NEED A DJ.

I enjoy listing to all my karaoke friends that help me out every week. Some help me when I'm double booked by DJ'ing for me, some help me carry things to and from my car or truck, others just show up faithfully week after week filling the seats and helping me entertain the other guests that come to hear us sing. I love you all and thank you very much, I couldn't do it with out you.
I am also very proud of my grand daughter "Skylar" who is 6 years old and plans to fill my shoes as a singer. She has done a few shows with Grandpa and I and has been singing pro since she turned two.
She has opened for Confederate Railroad, Ronny McDowel and the Country Legends show at Bobby Mackey's a few years ago. She also sings at the Boone and Kenton County Fairs every year.
I have a few photos and videos of her and my Karaoke friends, please check them out.

I grew up listing to Loretta Lynn, Johnny Cash, Ray Charles and others, that is what mom and dad ever played.
I listened to it all, the Rollin' Stones, CCR, Simond and Garfunkle, but my personal favories were The Eagles , The Guess Who, Alabama, Tanya Tucker, The Judds, Reba and Cher. Right now, I think that Carry Underwood and Taylor Swift are pritty hot....................................................................
...............................................................................................................
In my spare time, out side of the music world, I painted signs and windows for over 30years. I love doing childrens rooms and cartoon type art. You may see some of my work from time to time, Wayne has helped me and we have painted shops and stores from Dayton Ohio, through out Northern Ky. down to Lexington and even as far as Nashville Tenn. I have put a few photos of my work on this site for you to see. If I can paint something for you, feel free to contact me on my main sight........wanda@wandakay.com

I’ve been a music journalist for more than 10 years. Over the years, many artists and managers have asked me what the best way to break into the European music market is.
Here are some things you can do:
Publish artist press releases, news, and tour dates to the CountryHome Forum on MySpace, http://groups.myspace.com/CountryHomeMagazine , CountryHome Forum is part of CountryHome, http://www.CountryHome.de , Germany's Premier Country Music Online Magazine. Everything you publish to the CountryHome Forum will be published in my weekly Newsletter which has over 80,000 readers.
Send me CDs and DVDs for review and set up an artist interview with me. All reviews and interviews will be submitted to the magazines I'm writing for. More information for which magazines I'm writing can be found at http://www.MySpace.com/ChristianLamitschka
Upload artist videos to http://www.MyVideo.de and http://www.ClipFish.de . Both websites are like http://www.YouTube.com and uploading videos is free. The websites are completely in German. If you don’t speak German and need assistance, I will help you open an account and upload a video for 25 Euro. Each additional video upload for the same artist name and at the same video website is 10 Euro.
If you have more questions about the European music market or about any of the information I send to you today, please contact me at Ch.Lamitschka@t-online.de too.

There's This Girl In The Mirror, I Wonder Who She Is. Sometimes I Think
I Know Her And Sometimes I Wish I Did. There Is A Story In Her Eyes,
Hullabies, And Goodbyes. When She's Looking Back At Me I Can
Tell...She's Hurting Inside.
She
Smiles With All That She Has Left, Yet Tears Are Left Un-Dried... And
Ahough She's Got So Much To Say, She Bottles It Up Inside. If You Look
Past Her Broken Eyes To A Shadow No One Sees, A Disguise So You Won't
Recognize, The Girl Is Really Me...
I Just Have Alot On My Mind These Days And I Just Wanted You To Always
Remember And Keep In Mind I Do Appreciate Our Friendship...Now And

Music As Smooth As Butterfly Wings
Notes And Pages Tainted With Dust
Old As Time,Blooming Of A Rose Petal
Sounds Come And Go,Classics Remain
Down the Drain Once Again.
Fades In And Out Of Time.
Music Revolves Around The World
The World Revolves Around Music.
The Classics That Remain Will Become Beautiful Again Someday
The Value Of Music Is Eternity.
Music Fades Deep Into Darkness
And Darkness Fades Deep Into Music...
So On That Note Hello and Good Morning... T.G.I.F.
I Hope Your Week Wasn't Too Hard On You. So Have Your Self A Fun-Filled, Relaxing, Great Weekend... Just Wanted To Show Some Love... Peace & Love Always Christy
She stands inside her music box,
She dances for all to see,
But the one thing they don’t notice -
She’s longing to be free.
Thin and gentle, delicate and small,
Her perfection makes them sigh,
She shows them all a smile so bright,
But inside she wants to cry.
Trapped in her box, nowhere to go.
She hasn’t got a choice,
All she longs for is to get out,
But her pain hasn’t got a voice.
Her arms are growing weary -
From holding the perfect pose,
Her body’s getting tired -
From standing on her toes.
Inside herself she’s screaming,
To make them stop the show,
She’s tired from performing -
But they can never know.
She stands inside her music box,
She performs for all to see,
A break is all she’s asking for,
But wait ... that dancer’s ... me. Hello And Good-Morning... Monday Is Here And In Full Bloom... I Hope You Had A Wonderful Weekend... Just Wanting To Come By And Wish You A Wonderful Week...
And Show I Care...
Peace & Love
Always

My Candle I Would Like To Share With You...
My hope is like a candle's flame
That burns throughout the night.
No matter what the crisis is
I still can see some light.
It's kept me warm through many storms
And led me through the rain.
When noone else would care for me
It burned away my pain.
And when I felt I couldnt't walk
another mile up hill,
I took and step and found
My light was brighter still.
Through all the trials and tribulations
Life has thrown at me,
My candle's flame has led the way
And made sure I could see.
So when my days are bright enough
That I can guide myself,
I use my candle anyway-
to help somebody else. Hello And Thank God It's Friday!!! I Hope That The Week Has Been Good Too You... Just Showing Some Friday Love
With A Fun-Filled, Relaxing Weekend Wish To You From Me...
Peace & Love
Always
