My influences are Rita Moreno, Earth Wind & Fire, Selena, Boyz II Men, Madonna, my girl Shakira, Thalia, La Mujer de Fuego : Olga, No Doubt, Donna Summer, Confunkshun, Ohio Players, Michael Jackson, Prince, Just about anything 80's music, John Mayer. I've also been inspired by 70's and early 80's funk music, Parliment, Bar-kays. I also love Blues and early Motown. I guess that should give you some idea about me.

Wandaliz is a new, unique and innovative artist that offers a refreshing break from the music industry in its present form. The self proclaimed Pop Funk Princess has a vocal style that would best be described as pop/rock. Though her musical taste varies from Reggaeton, Latin Pop, Rock, Blues, Pop/Dance, Funk, Old Motown, as well as many other forms of Caribbean music. She has really embraced Pop/Funk as her desired genre. She embraces Pop music for it’s free flowing style that allows an artist to show many different sides of ones self. She embraces Funk music because it allows an artist to break free as a writer and performer. Wandaliz found creative freedom in artist like George Clinton and Bootsy Collins and groups like Bootsy’ Rubber Band, Parliment, The Bar-kays, Con-Funk-Shun, Prince and the Gap Band to name a few. Wandaliz quotes: “I want my music to be fun. I want to be able to write a serious song if I want to and then turn around and write and perform something totally crazy but still with a hidden desire or meaning and have everyone understand this is just Wandaliz.”
Wandaliz has recorded two Cd’s. The first was called “Different Sides Of Me” and the second “Don’t Look Back”. Wandaliz has had some success in the music publishing world but is still looking for that big break. My first CD was a great experience for me. It really helped me understand myself as an artist. There was a mixture of song styles and writing styles that really showed me I had a feel for many other types of music and I also learned there were many sides of me being discovered. I guess that’s where I got the name Different Sides Of Me. My Second CD titled Don’t Look Back was a Cd of me taking my life back and taking my creative skills to another level. This CD brought out more of the rock side of me and also made me grow in leaps as a writer. I think, had I had a band with me, that CD could have been a hit.
Wandaliz varied musical taste, have made her quite a unique artist. Many of the comments she receives give her credit for being strong enough to be unique in this age of just following the current trends. Bootsy Collins himself made her an honorary official
Funk-a-teer. “That was the coolest comment I ever got. I was pumped up the entire day. Thank you Bootsy. J I know a lot of people don’t understand my style. I get a great deal of love from the European community. I know sometimes people look at me and see a tiny Puerto- Rican female and wonder what type of sound do I have. When I say I’m a Pop/Funk artist I get nothing but stares. Honestly I only know how to be one type of artist and that’s me. I’m a chameleon. What you might see today will not be what you always see. I had someone in the industry say I should stick to one thing. My answer to that is just put me on different radio stations. I’m sure the music public is ready for a multi-genre artist. My new CD will be entitled “Multiple Genre Disorder.” The listener will get Some of my Pop/Funk style as well as some Reggeaton and some Rock. We are also going to mix my two worlds with a Reggeaton Funk mix we like to call Funkeaton.”
