From harmonising with fire engine and ambulance sirens on the troubled streets of 1970s Belfast to published author of two novels and internationally acclaimed singer, Brian Edward Patrick Kennedy has packed more into his short life than most of us would dream of. Amongst other things he has:
toured the world, working with some of the greatest names in the music business - Van Morrison, Joni Mitchell, Ray Charles, Bob Dylan, John Lee Hooker
recorded a song for a Hollywood soundtrack ("Crazy Love" for the film "When A Man Loves A Woman" starring Meg Ryan and Andy Garcia)
appeared in the role of lead singer in "Riverdance on Broadway"
appeared in his own six episode BBC TV music series, "On Song"
sung for President Clinton five times!
been chosen to sing at the funeral of Belfast footballing legend, George Best
released 10 solo albums to date plus collaborated on countless others

Four candles burned at the Adventskranz. It was completely quiet. So quietly that one heard, how the candles began to talk.
The first candle sighed: I am called PEACE. My light shines, but humans do not hold peace. Their light became ever smaller and expired.
The second candle flickered and said: I am called FAITH. But I am redundant. Humans do not want to know anything about God.
A draft of air brought the candle to expiring. Sadly and quietly the third candle announced itself:
I am called LOVE, but I have no more power. Humans see themselves only and not the others who they should love.
With last flickering also this light had expired. There a child came in the room and began nearly to cry: You have to burn nevertheless and not be out!
There the fourth candle announced itself:
Don’t fear! As long as I burn, we can light up the other candles again. I am called HOPE!
There the child took the candle and ignited with its flame also the other candles
