Omar Faruk Tekbilek , Mercan Dede , Alio Die, Adham Shaikh, soundtrack to 'Across the Universe', Amadou and Mariam, Esma and Cheb Khaled. maybe a smattering of duran duran and 1950s doo wop. | | Movies | Blueberry, Princess Mononoke, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Das Boot, Pan's Labyrinth, Enemy Mine, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind...Australian films...and not averse to a bit of Hollywood, especially if over-the-top car chases, space ships and kung-fu are involved. Preferably in the same movie.
| | Television | Got rid of the TV just over two years ago, and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made! :)
That said, I love a bit of sci-fi and good quality dramas and comedies....Star Trek Voyager, Dr Who, Firefly, quirky british comedy...and kids shows, especially Monkey Magic and Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends :) | | Books | I truly love books and treasure my library. I don't read alot of fiction, I prefer books 'about' things...experiences, places, plants, ideas, theories....data! There is always something I want to know more about, to better understand.
| | Heroes | I have an enormous amount of respect and admiration for ambulence paramedics, emergency/rescue helicopter and many community service workers.
