I am officially a published author, my first book "Upside Over" was released Nov. 27, 2006 . This just goes to show you, that if you are determined enough to follow your dreams, you can make them reality at any age!!!! I've gotten some very nice reviews on the book, from independent sources.

Forget the stories you’ve heard about the joys of raising children, and read the true accounts of Wanita Coy’s ‘Upside Over’. A delightful, somewhat humorous recollection of the trials of parenthood, every parent can relate to.
If not for the few grammatical flaws, I would give this book a 5 star rating! “Been there, done that, and I know where you’re coming from,” is what most parents will say while reading this book. A highly recommended reading for parents who may think they’re alone in their trials, or parent’s to be who believe their jobs will be an easy task.

I just wanted to make a point here. My children call me on a regular basis. They thank me all the time for being an inspiration to them, for being supportive and for giving them the courage to achieve more than they ever thought they could.
What I want to point out here, and what most children don't realize, is that they are the inspiration. They expect that we as parents must set examples for them to follow. They look to us for guidence and tollerance. They look to us for instruction and discipline. They force us to be better than we ever thought we could be, so I want to thank them for putting on the pressure and making me be more than I ever envisioned I could be. We see ourselves though our children's eyes, and if we are lacking, we have the option to improve.

Upside Over is a humorous look at how having children completely changed the author’s life upon the discovery that babies do not come with instruction manuals. Coy’s husband’s point of view is well depicted as his wife is transformed from a hot and witty playmate to an overwhelmed and often cranky mother. It’s about surviving the parent game, learning that with a sense of humor a family can survive and become stronger, through the laughter and tears, through good times and bad as we take a step closer to insanity or just learn to accept reality. It reveals our coming to the understanding that for every time there is a season, and if we embrace life then we must learn to embrace death by learning to let go and say goodbye to loved ones.
Wanita Coy has been a public speaker and trainer for non-profit groups and specialized in: self-esteem, dealing with difficult personalities, diversity, outdoor survival skills, and sensitive issues. She’s worked in sales, public relations, personnel management, and Social Services. She is a wife and mother to four children.
