This charismatic performer was formerly a drummer and touring companion with legendary guitarist's Les Paul and performed on a number of occasions with Nokie Edwards (The Ventures). Wes has also shared the stage with Mason Williams, George Benson, Bucky Pizzarelli, BB King, Scotty Moore, Howard Roberts, Larry Carlton, Chet Atkins, Thom Bresh (Son of the legendary guitarist Merle Travis), Tom Doyle, Ruben Romero, Antonio Mendoza, Tommy Emmanuel, Seymour Duncan, Stephen Bennett, Stephen King, Richard Smith, Anthony Smith, Tim Farrell, Edgar Cruz, Lou Pallo (The Les Paul Trio), Miguel "Mito" de Soto, Jon Paris, Roberto Gonzales and a host of others. Wes, is a regular annual performer at the Chet Atkins Appreciation Society (CAAS), Nokie Festival, Association of Fingerstyle Guitarists (AFG) and the Guitars for life (GFL) benefit concerts. Wes now spends his time touring, performing, songwriting, recording and producing music for his own artist owned Wannadu record label. This artist knows the importance of 'professionalism' in performance and appearance and how to provide for client satisfaction. The artist selects his gear, attire and tune selection to suit any size venue and any type of occasion... Wes performs for small venues, holiday & private parties, weddings, trade shows, art gallery openings, resorts & hotel lounges and restaurants, Bar Mitzvah, Bat Mitzvah, Anniversaries, cruises, business banquets, opening sessions, festivals, fairs, corporate conventions, political events, shows, & concerts. "JAZZAMENCO" tm... A musical pioneer, Wes merges his fingerstyle playing techniques, traditional and smooth jazz instrumental melodies and improvisation with latin rumba flamenca (nuevo flamenco/ Gipsy Kings-like) rhythms, creating a unique style of his own. THE "TAP GUITAR"... Invented by Wes (pat. pending), is a flamenco guitar outfitted with midi drum trigger plates mounted on the top and sides of the instrument and a built in on-board synthesizer module. The artist was seeking a way to merge his passion for both guitar and drums...This feature affords the artist with a unique "strumming & drumming" capability in his live performances. THE "FLAQUINTO"...inspired by Wes, is a double neck flamenco/requinto. MUSIC AWARDS... Classical guitar studies with Carol Hammersma. Flamenco guitar studies with Ruben and Miguel Romero. Drum studies with Carl Wolf. Wes also took some lessons on Steel Guitar, Clarinet, Tenor Sax and Trumpet.
