Wanting Equilibrium represents a constant search for something new without completely leaving behind the past. It's a search for something original with a simultaneous nostalgic appeal. At one moment, the pendulum may leans toward James Taylor, but seconds later it echoes the influences of the All American Rejects. Other songs may reveal the influences of the Norah Jones in a cocktail with the Goo Goo Dolls and Matchbox 20.
Something deeply spiritual lays the foundation Wanting Equilibrium's unique sound: balance isn't found standing still. We are constantly in flux, and the harder we try to be stable the more difficult it becomes. The pendulum only stands still after its time has run out. Maybe that's why those who are the most balanced can also seem the most uptight and dead inside.
A drink tastes best after a dry spell. A meal is most filling after a time of fasting. And a song sounds best after a silence...
hey Joe - thanks for listening (since the stanford compilation! that rocks).. really liking the stuff you have up here. hope all's well - keep in touch!
Yeah dude... that's be super fun. I'm going to have to admit... I'm dirt broke right now, but if I could at least get something for gas money I don't even think I'd hesitate. Let me know what your thoughts are!
Dude... thank you so much for the kind words. I really enjoy your stuff, too, man. I dig that style a lot. Sometime, lets play together. You, me, and Poema. :-)
We wanted to let you know that we have 6 new live songs on our player. It would be great to know what you think of them. Good or bad. Hopefully good though. Stay healthy and warm.
Hey bud how are ya? I'm alright. The shift is ok. The 1 good thing I like is not waking up early in the morning and heading straight to work. I wake up about 3pm and have some hours to "wake up" (some days anyway depending if its a 12hr shift) before work. Biggest downer is the lack of time with other people and not much sun exposer. But its ok. Its only temporary anyway. God has bigger and better things on there way.
We have to meet up soon, set something up or whatever. I have had this dream, vision, goal - whatever you want to call - for quite some time and I wanted to share it with you. And perhaps gain some wisdom in the matter, or perhaps prayer.
and thank you for listening! i rarely play gigs anymore, busy making new songs now. when i do it's with friends or alone, it depends. more songs from a living room at www. maybemusic. net if you want - enjoying adam's song right now... maybe me
