WARATTAH is a metal band that was formed in Bordeaux in December 2005. It was formed by Khris (guitar/vocals), who wanted to create the music which he wasn't able to express with his other bands.
After a few tests, the definitive lineup was found with Cyril (bass) and Xav (drums), musicians who each had both studio and live experience.
However, with the complexity of the vocal/guitar parts, Denis (guitar) was added to contribute the "wall of sound" needed for live shows, and also to because his soloing technique brings a new dimension to the band. The musical past of each band member has deliberately been omitted, in order to allow people to discover and listen to what WARATTAH does, with no preconceived opinion as to what they could be doing or could have done!
It is also an approach that is meant to be humble and honest.
At the end of April in 2006, a 4-song demo was recorded, and it was subsequently voted as "Demo of the Month" in the June 2006 issue of “Rock Hard magazine” and "Auto production of the Month" in the March 2007 issue of “Guitar Part magazine”.
Warattah has been aired on CD samplers of “Rock Hard” (issue 56) and “Rock One” (issue 41). Other reviews have appeared in “Metallian” (issue 46), “Guitarist Magazine” (issue198S), “Rock Tribune” (Dutch - issue 61), and in various webzines.
WARATTAH is a metal band that holds nothing back, with raw vocals, technical drumming, powerful guitars and a grooving bass.
The main objective of the band will remain live performance.
Also, the video for "Fits of Rage" aired on “MCM”, “MCM Belgium”, “MTV Pulse”, on Benelux's “S-Television”, and on Canada's “Schok Productions”.
The band is currently seeking French and foreign booking managers.
WARATTAH est un groupe de Métal né à Bordeaux en décembre 2005, formé par Khris (guitare/chant) dans le but de pouvoir écrire la musique qu’il n’avait pu exprimer avec ses autres formations.
Après quelques tests, le line-up se stabilise avec Cyril (basse) et Xav (batterie), tous deux chevronnés de la scène et du studio.
La complexité de l’alliance guitare /chant a permis à Denis (guitare) de se joindre à nous et d’apporter une nouvelle ampleur au groupe grâce à sa technique d’instrumentaliste soliste et au côté « mur du son » qu’il apporte en concert.
Le passé musical respectif de chacun n'est délibérément pas noté, ceci afin que le public découvre et écoute ce que WARATTAH fait, sans à priori, que l'on aime le groupe ou pas pour ce qu’ils font, et pas pour ce qu'ils auraient pu faire!
C'est aussi une démarche volontaire d'humilité et d'honnêteté.
Fin avril 2006, une démo 4 titres a été enregistrée et à été élue "Démo du mois" dans le « Rockhard » du mois de juin 2006, et "Disque autoproduit du mois" dans le « Guitar Part » de Mars 2007.
Nous avons été diffusés sur les cds samplers des « Rock Hard n°56 » et « Rock One n°41 », chroniqué dans les magasines spécialisés « Metallian n°46 », « Guitarist Magasine n°198S », « Rock Tribune n°61 » (Hollande), ainsi que beaucoup de webzines (voir site « www.warattah.fr », « .com », « .be », ou blog « les chroniques » de notre myspace).
WARATTAH est un groupe de Métal sans concession, avec un chant brut, batterie technique, guitares puissantes et basse groovy.
L'objectif le plus important du groupe reste fondamentalement la scène.
Le morceau "Skulls in the River Beds" a servi de support pour les "Vibrations Urbaines 2006" de Pessac (contest BMX, Rollers).
Parallèlement, le clip vidéo du morceau « Fits of Rage » a été diffusé sur "MCM", "MCM Belgique", "MTV Pulse", au Benelux sur "S-Television", et au Canada sur "Shok Productions".
Le groupe est actuellement à la recherche de tourneurs français ou étrangers.
Die Metal-Band WARATTAH wurde im Dezember 2005 in Bordeaux von Khris (Git, Voc) ins Leben gerufen, weil er Musik machen wollte, die er in seinen anderen Bands nicht verwirklichen konnte.
Nach wenigen Tests war das erste Line-up mit den Studio-und Live-Musikern Cyril (Bass) und Xav (Dr) gefunden.
Wegen des Umfangs der Gesang–und Guitarren-Parts,und um die « Klangwand » zu verstärken, die für die Live-Acts benötigt wird, wurde Gitarrist Denis in die Band aufgenommen. Seine Solo-Tecknik brachte der Band eine neue Dimension.
Ende April 2006 nahmen WARATTAH eine 4-Tracks-Demo auf die anschließend in der Juni-Ausgabe des « Rock Hard » zur « Demo des Monats » sowie im « Guitar Part » im März 2007 zur « Eingenproduktion des Monats » gewählt wurde .
Andere reviews erschienen im « Metallian », im « Guitarist-Magazine », im « Rock Tribune » (Holland) und in verschiedenen Webzines (siehe WARATTAH- Websites).
Das Video zu « Fits of Rage » wurde bei « MCM », « MCM Belgium » und « MTV Pulse » im März 2007 gesendet, und geht im Mai 2007 noch einmal auf Sendung. Zusätzlich gibt es eine Dokumentation über WARATTAH bei « Schock Productions » (Kanada) und « S-Television » (Benelux).
WARATTAH ist eine Metal-Band, die sich nicht bremsen läßt, rauhem Gesang, technischem Schlagzeugspiel, kraftvollen Gitarren und einem groovenden Bass.
Das Hauptziel der Band werden Live-Auftritte bleiben.
Zur Zeit sucht die Band Booking Manager für Deutschland und das Ausland.

Salut les bordelais, ça faisait longtemps que j'étais pas passé sur votre page, ça déboite toujours autant ! J'ai vu la vidéo de Denis mais j'ai bien peur de ne jamais arriver à utiliser un seul de ses plans, ça joue grave quand même !
Sinon, vous devez être au courant que l'on a désormais une connaissance commune en la personne de pierre-Yves qui est un garçon charmant désormais ruthénois et bossant dans la même école que moi, c'est rigolo. Am 22.11.2008 feiern DESTRUCTIVE BEHAVIOR das Release ihres 2ten Studioalbums! Zusammen mit „Laid in Ashes“, „Descartar“ und „Slave to Misery“ wird an dem Abend Kräftig gerockt! Anschließend ist wie immer eine fette Afershowparty geplant! Wir freuen uns auf euch, und einen Abend voller guter Musik und guter Stimmung!
