WarcrY /// founded in 2001 under the old name Heiligs Blechle by The Axeman, The Crusher and The Almighty to play True and HEAVY Metal the way it was back in the 80s, with influences from the classic heavy metal sound to blackend and thrashy styles. We do not limit ourselves inside the traditional metal genre, so you can hear influences from Manowar to Venom, from Witchfynde to Celtic Frost, from Running Wild to Desaster... and so on!!! This musical style has not been chosen by the band in long discussions or whatever, but it was from the beginning that we knew how this band has to sound. Today the band consists of The Almighty (vocals), The Gravewarrior (guitar), The Axeman (guitar), Roaring Thunder (bass) and The Crusher (drums). After two demos, the band released its debut album BLACK STEEL in 2005, followed by IN BATTLE FOR VENGEANCE (on Battle Cry Records) in 2008. The promising year 2010 will see the light of a new WarcrY album, again with improvements all around! In 2010 the band will also return to the stage and show how True Heavy Metal has to be played.
