Wardust is a Thrash-Death Metal band born in Monterrey with its roots dating back to the year 2005. The band’s influences vary from a great array of genres and by bands like Megadeth, Children of Bodom, Death, Necrophagist, among many others. Fans have described the band as “a kick in the balls” because of its violence and heaviness they say.

The band has always been a quartet, although it has suffered some lineup changes. It all started with a different approach, leaning towards a Thrash Metal sound, but when two members of the first quartet left the band in 2006, the remaining members: Hernan Motta (Lead Guitars/Lead Vocals) and Carlos E. Vela (Drums/Back Vocals) agreed to move forward with a heavier sound, merging Thrash and Death Metal. And in 2007 the band was once again reassembled when Victor Beltran (Lead Guitars/Back Vocals) and Pedro Romero (Bass/Back Vocals)join the lineup.

In late 2008, Wardust proudly presented its debut demo “Wave of Violence”, recorded at Psicofonia Prods . and produced by Alberto Leal Charles. The demo consists of four songs which practically describe who and what Wardust is with about twenty minutes of fully violent and heavy music. The four bandmates state this is only the beginning of what’s to come. The band will be playing live supporting Wave of Violence.

Wardust es una banda de Thrash-Death Metal nacida en Monterrey con sus raíces datando desde el año 2005. Las influencias de la banda varían de una gran gama de géneros y bandas como las son Megadeth, Children of Bodom, Death, Necrophagist, entre otras. Algunos fans han descrito a la banda como una “patada en los huevos” por la violencia y lo pesado que tocan.

La banda siempre ha sido un cuarteto, aunque ha sufrido algunos cambios en la alineación. Todo empezó con un diferente enfoque, inclinándose más un sonido más Thrash Metal, pero cuando dos miembros del primer cuarteto dejaron la banda en el 2006, los miembros restantes: Hernan Motta (Guitarras/Voz principal) y Carlos E. Vela (Bateria/ Voz de fondo) acordaron seguir adelante con un sonido más pesado, fusionando el Thrash con el Death Metal. Y en el 2007 la banda es otra vez reensamblada cuando Victor Beltrán (Guitarras/ Voz de fondo) y Pedro Romero (Bajo/ Voz de fondo) se unen a la alineación.

A finales del 2008, Wardust orgullosamente presenta su demo debut “ Wave of Violence ”, grabado en Psicofonia Prods . Y producido por Alberto Leal Charles. El demo consiste en cuatro canciones que prácticamente describen quien y que es Wardust con unos veinte minutos de música pesada llena de violencia. Los cuatro miembros de la banda afirman que esto es solo el comienzo de lo que habrá de venir. La banda va a estar tocando en vivo para apoyar el lanzamiento del demo “Wave of Violence”.

Wardust quisiera agradecer a todo aquel quien ha apoyado a la banda desde el principio, y todo aquel quien ha trabajado o esté trabajando con la banda. Gracias a Charles y a Psicofonia Prods. por el excelente demo. Gracias a las bandas con quienes han tocado. Y gracias a los fans.
