2002, Italy, Piacenza, in the middle of nowhere, on a lazy summer day began a strange adventure called "Warm Morning". We are two brothers, Simone and Andrea, playing music mainly based on acoustic sounds, inspired by folk music of the sixties. During these years we added and tried new instruments like bass, drums, percussions and organ to best develop our ideas and to cover a range of new stimulating musical experiences. After having recorded two EPs, "Warm Morning 212" (2003) and "Slow-motion Picture" (2004), in August of 2005 we started to work on "Silver Rain" , decided to experiment everything that the studio could offer us. Apart from using the usual recording rooms, we recorded some songs outdoors and also tried the claustrophobic acoustics of the studio bathroom...amazing experience!!!
Our purpose is to play music, in a spontaneous and natural way, to pass some moments away from reality, flying far with our imagination, cradled by a pleasant Warm Morning sound.
We’re proud to present the return of Shelflife Records, with the first of a new format that combines CD and 7" vinyl in one package: "Silver Rain" by Warm Morning.
Warm Morning is two brothers from Piacenza, Italy who play refined neo-acoustic pop music. Their delicate balance of finger-style guitars, vocal harmonies and elaborate string arrangements offers stripped-down psychedelia that comes straight from the heart.
Drawing on influences that span the past four decades, Warm Morning’s polished vocal arrangements have all the charm of Liverpool’s Lotus Eaters. Their unmistakable pop sensibility is worthy of comparison to the legendary Fantastic Something. We herald the return of Shelflife with this limited edition release.
