DAVE ALLISON "That Sensation" EP - 12/15/09 - OUT NOW!
Warmth Records is back to heat things up with all new releases for 2010! This winter will see the beloved NYC house label jump-started with all new releases from some of the most influential artists in house music. Dave Allison's "That Sensation" is first up! Four tracks of deep, techy sounds cozy up to this Winter. Future disco sounds seep through on the title track's hook with classic Juno leads, genre defining samples and jacking drums to make this track a bonafide floor filler. Future UK star Tom Lown (Lost My Dog) and veteran Philly producer Sean Thomas (Sound Between Movement, DiY) provide remixes that take the lead track "Y'All See" into deep, jacking and stripped-back, moody house territory respectively. This international effort is set to take dance floors across the globe by storm.
The two lead tracks from Dave Allison's new EP, "Y'All See" and "That Sensation" come pre-loaded on the world's first professional DJing system for the iPhone and iPod Touch, TOUCH DJ from Amidio. Available now from the iTunes App store.
Other Warmth Releases Available Now:
LOVESKY "Love Supreme" - 07/08/08
Love Supreme has been adored by DJ's from top names to bedroom punks since the promos hit way back in November 2002. This single, and its accompanying remixes from Gavin Hardkiss, Robbie Hardkiss, Lovesky, and Underground People Movers are sure to heat things up again this summer!
Lovesky spent the first part of the millennium enjoying massive success after the "Drums 4 Better Daze" EP on Sunburn/Hooj Choons- selling record amounts of vinyl and appearing on various definitive DJ mix CDs from Pete Tong, Carl Cox, Jerry Bonham, and Dave Seaman to name a few. Worldwide praise followed from DJs, producers and dancers alike for his unique production style of rhythmic tracks dripping with stark emotion and feature his own vocals and live instrumentation.
Following on the phenomenal success of Drums, Lovesky's "Love Supreme" features 4 dance floor friendly remixes alongside the funky original. Lovesky tweaks it out with all the stops on his extended 8 minute plus Drum-Drug Mix and legendary San Francisco house crew, Hardkiss lends their classic production skills to the remix set. Gavin Hardkiss aka Hawke gives us a soulful extended rework, while Robbie Hardkiss puts an erotic touch on it for a guaranteed head nodder. Finally Baltimore's Underground People Movers brings it all home to round out this classic house record.
FLOWCHART "Broken and Blue" - 07/22/08
Warmth number two is a quirky slamming tech house offering from ubiquitous Philadelphia producer, Flowchart, now known on the scene as the minimal tech demigod Someone Else of Foundsound Records and Fidget (Erin Anderson) of Unfoundsound Records. Deep, dubby, techy house with chopped up vocals and solid basslines make this a floor favorite. Features an extended Solomonic rerub from Philly house lion Rob Paine of Worship Recordings.
STS F. STACI SMITH "A Moment" - 08/05/08
Warmth number three features members of Bluelight Isms, Lypid and Caveman Tactics join NYC vocalist Staci Smith to create a classic tech house affair. From 1990-2005 veteran Brooklyn producers Dave Micallizi and Michael Marolla released countless pieces of vinyl under numerous pseudonyms for some of the best labels in dance music. Planet Rhythm, Intec, Template, Statra, Grey Market and Local 101 all released records from their alter egos Bluelight Isms, Lypid, Caveman Tactics, Re/Vision, Ind.ex, and Hugo Dazza. Now, under the moniker STS, the duo team up with NYC house vocalist and studio regular, Staci Smith to drop this deep tech beauty. "A Moment" features soulful breathy vocal line, and steady, deep sounds to create a cross genre house favorite. The digital release features extended rerubs of the original mix, with even more keys, pad hits and additional vocal lines. Another sweet, techy and potent concoction, "July" rounds out this superb EP.
SEAN THOMAS "Game On" EP - 09/30/08
The long awaited fourth Warmth release comes from Philly house music constant, DJ/producer Sean Thomas. "Game On" EP features three previously unreleased tunes from the Sound Between Movement founder and popular Circle Crew / It! Parties resident.
Sean Thomas drops the deep funky stuff on the incredible first track Enjoy Your Life. He quickly backs it up with the tech house triumph, Next to You and soulful sleeper Just Want. Spanning the space between deep house and tech house with full, sexy, and thumping production, "Game On" EP is sure to be a favorite of any house head.
