They act as though I had never made it through the snow. Alone or with my clone, I always seemed to make it home. It's easy to get caught within the apple while it's becoming rotten. I wrapped chains around my heart now I'm locked in. The lighthouse somehow reached over the waves showing me what was mine and what I didn't own. Giving me reason to always make it home.
This reading of The Jesters (Don Marquis, Poems and Portraits, 1922) is dedicated to every man and woman who supports Dr Ron Paul, especially those who don the mask of Guy Fawkes after Alan Moore's and David Lloyd's graphic novel, V for Vendetta. I prefer Senator Mike Gravel, but Dr. Paul is a very close second (as Doodles Weaver would say, it'll either be a photo finish or an oil painting) and there is no doubt that Congressman Paul's supporters are at least as clever, and by far more numerous than Senator Mike's.
