Stolen musicians from Oxford, MS formed the Wasted Lonelys in 2003. Supposedly a one-off gig has turned into one completed album, "Wasted Lonely Cathedral", due out in the fall, and an untitled album in production by David Gilmore. Wasted Lonelys blend a sonic pop with the sparse and the lush.

By the way I noticed that you liked Will Oldham and thought I'd point you in the direction of some guys I hear he knows from the UK, an alt.country/acoustic folk kinda group called "quarter-pounder". They're brothers from the Isle of Man who are a little mentally unstable, violent even but with an ear for a good tune so I reckon you might like them. Maybe you know of them already? You guys were terrible last night, but you did manage to get the local celebs out on a cold night. David Shirley was there, as was Joe "William Crapp" Nettles, and if you can believe it, toward the end, I think I thought I saw THE Legendary Mississippi Scott Baretta. Was it a look-alike? Let's hope not.
