| About wasted saturday |
~ The name Wasted Saturday didn't come from a band member or fan that got unusually hammered on Saturday (beleive it or not). Think of the ideal Saturday; you sleep in, watch some tv, noodle around on the guitar, hang out with some friends, and have a few brews. You may not get much accomplished but it's a good time.
~ The original Wasted Saturday was started back in high school by Sal Germano and a bunch of buddies. They came up with some quality songs and played a few shows together, but had to put the band on hold due to college and everyone moving apart.
~ After writing some more tunes and improving both his guitar playing and singing, Sal formed The Factor with A Greater Cause drummer Jay Taylor and the two began working on a vocal harmony and guitar/drum interaction scheme that sounds pretty damn catchy.
~ Bassist Chris Weinstein had known Sal since high school, and was often in bands that shared stages with Sal's projects; and after an unfortunate split with both of his previous bands (Ataraxia and Dystrophy) became the third wheel in the trio.
~ All three members are dedicated to creating some great music, recording it, and then getting out and bringing it to anyone who wants to listen. The whole band was formed on friendships between members and we're allways up for forming bonds with fans and other bands.
