Halloween is a special time of year,
when kids dress up to incite terror and fear.
They fun around in the dark of night,
striving to scare and cause fright.
When the night is darker than any other,
and the stars blank out, one after another.
Pumpkins lit up from candles within,
shining through the black with a very faint din.
Spirits, unable to rest in peace.
Souls of the dead and deceased.
Haunting us, getting inside our mind,
until they form an unbreakable bind.
Better make sure to watch your back,
look around, so you're not attacked.
Don't trip, and fall into nothingness,
keep yourself away from the black abyss.
Take care of yourself,
make sure to look all around.
Gotta pay attention tonight, nothings secure,
through the night the same words resound.

in jubilant praise
for the bread on the table,
the berries and maize,
for field and for forest,
for turkey and deer,
for the bountiful crops
they were blessed with that year.
They were thankful for these
as they feasted away,
