Our vision is of a world where every child will attend school, enhance their talents, and live to participate positively in their community.

 Clean water is the most important public health measure to ensure this. In Haiti, contaminated water is the leading cause of infant mortality and illness in children. Germs causing hepatitis, cholera, and chronic diarrhea are carried in water used for cooking and drinking. Nearly every water source in Haiti has become contaminated with human waste because of the absence of a sewage sanitation system.

Tablet chlorinators provide a steady, preset level of chlorination in the water tanks for many days. This provides dependable protection against the disease-causing bacteria common in the buckets, home storage tanks, and local piping in poor communities.

We are demonstrating in Haiti that an inexpensive chlorinator with safe chlorine tablets can provide clean water in even the poorest community for less than 25 cents per person a year.
