WaterFlow plays original songs that could classify as modern bluegrass, jazz and singer/songwriter music.
The repertoire also harbors covers of songs by Ilse deLange, Queen, Bill Monroe, Tim O'Brien, Counting Crows and Indigo Girls, among others.
The international band Waterflow evolved out of the combination of two bands that came together at the European World of Bluegrass (EWOB) in 2005. A journalist of the Dutch magazine Country Gazette wrote the following about this performance:
"On saturday night this group was on the stage and surprised the audience with an amazing set. It sounded like they had been playing together for years. Something as spontaneous as this can only happen at EWOB."
The group decided without hesitating to keep working together on a tour basis and merged their bandnames to form "Waterflow". The band plays a very diverse set of acoustic music with aspects of bluegrass, jazz, swing and country. Waterflow is currently working on their first full-length CD with original songs, which is scheduled to release in February 2008. A maxi-single with six tracks is already available for sale and promotion.
Waterflow consists of five renowned Slovak musicians who have all developed a distinctly personal style of playing in their many years of experience, and is completed by the low and warm vocals of the Dutch Loes van Schaijk. In Holland there is a saying "What comes from far, tastes good", which applies nicely to this band: sometimes you have to look across the borders of your own country to find the combination of bandmembers that will give the music exactly the right flavor.

Ik had de samples op jullie site al gehoord, maar ik blijf onder de indruk. Wat ik van jullie gehoord heb klinkt 'af', een duidelijk geluid, goede gestroomlijnde nummers. Ik kijk uit naar jullie CD en kom zéker met m'n homies een keer naar een gig =).
