    Waterfront's new album takes the band into a completely new Alt-Country direction - allowing Phil and Chris to draw on the influences of Ryan Adams, The Eagles, Glen Campbell and Tom Petty. About Waterfront In 1987 two Welsh high school friends formed a band. By 1989 they'd a US Billboard Top Ten Hit, had completed an extensive successful coast to coast US tour and had sold 600,000 albums. Fame and fortune was knocking. Then it all went wrong. Twenty years later, Waterfront are writing and recording again. On the comeback trail in the middle of the biggest recession in history, with the music industry on its arse! Phil Cilia and Chris Duffy grew up together in Cardiff, South Wales and have been actively involved in the music industry since 1987 when they were signed directly to EMI/SBK Productions' by Charles Koppelman and Marty Bandier. With a publishing and production deal in place, all they needed was a label, and so shortly after, Waterfront was signed by David Munns to Polydor Records in the UK and then Polygram in the USA. Phil Cilia / Chris Duffy: Songwriters / Arrangers / Producers. 'CRY' – USA AC No.1 / USA Billboard Chart No.9 – UK No.17 - 'WATERFRONT' (Debut Album). Sales of approx. 600,000 (SBK Productions/ Polydor) Awarded the BMI Award (Broadcast Music Industry of America Award) in 1989 for 'CRY' which was one of the most played singles on US Radio that year. The song is now approaching million plays on worldwide radio. Waterfront 1993-2011 Fender guitar & amplification Endorsees / Ernie Ball strings / Olympus / Martin acoustic guitars / 2011 supported by Gibson Guitars UK. TV Experience/Appearances: Top of the Pops, TV AM, Chart Show, CITV, MTV, VH-1 (VHS -USA Waterfront Day) American Bandstand, Good Morning America, CNN. 2007 Waterfront secure single of the week for a two week period on the O2 / Napster mobile download portal – with a new acoustic alt. country track 'Valentine's Day', 2012 Waterfront secure music retail deal with Europe's largest retailer Tesco, for their new album, "Ghosts of the Good" The album is also available via iTunes. As of today? Phil and Chris are currently writing new material, and are seeking private investors to fund a Waterfront reality TV documentary covering their comeback after 22 years, plus an accompanying tour.
