Waterfront is a singing sensation whose sound is often described as Southern Soul. Southern Soul is a combination of down-home southern hospitality, soul-searching melodies, and pure four-part harmony. You have just been invited to delve into the H2O experience.
Samuel A. Barnes II, Larry D. Kelley, Jr., Jack L. Manning III, and Reggie Olivis III, comprise the super talented R&B group Waterfront. They have opened for the likes of Outkast, Usher, Musiq Soulchild, Gerald LeVert, Carl Thomas, John Legend, the Clipse, Jay Z, and Jill Scott at various concerts and festivals. Waterfronts talent and determination also landed them the opportunity to perform at an appearance by Susan Taylor, Editor-in-Chief of Essence magazine. In addition to those accomplishments, Waterfront has been featured on a variety of radio stations and was interviewed by the local NBC affiliate, WAVY-TV 10, ACCESS E TV JAPAN, and ABC affiliate WVEC -TV 13.
Locally, Waterfront continues to perform at various functions ranging from cultural festivals, concerts and other prestigious venues and events in the Tidewater Area.
Not only has Waterfront ensured that their name remains in the publics mind, heart, and soul, but their sound remains in the publics ears as well.
Does it all stop there? Not when you are speaking about Waterfront! For the past several years, this super group has organized and starred in their very own Valentines Day concerts. Furthermore, they have finished their debut Album entitled LOVE'S ROOM. All songs were written, produced, played and performed by Waterfront, something the world doesnt see from very many groups these days. These four musicians will, at times, step behind the piano and guitars to play and sing for you at a moments notice.
A motivated, professional, hard-working, self-contained unit that is able to write, compose, play, and sing, Waterfront is truly an asset to whatever endeavors they undertake. A great deal has been said about these four young men. Yet, there is one thing to keep in mind. No matter how much is written about them, no one can ever quite grasp their energy or style in just words. Waterfront's sound is truly an experience...an H2O experience never to be compared with anything else.
