The four members of DEJA VU came together in Waterloo Iowa after playing together and apart. Bill Hatheway and Jeff Holmes met while Jeff was playing in Lymon’s House, and Bill was managing Cumulus Broadcasting. The two of them started throwing around the idea of DEJA VU but never got together until a year later. Bill was playing in a local band called Ace and Jeff was still in Lymon’s House.
They revisited the idea of DEJA VU and brought in keyboardist Dave Stamp from the band Midlife Crisis. The three of them started putting the foundation of DEJA VU together. The search for a lead guitar player ended when Bill Guernsey joined the band. With all players in place DEJA VU started studio rehearsal at Hatheway’s Bear Tracks studio (a 24 track digital recording studio) and 3 months later took the stage.
DEJA VU’s sound meshes the best of classic and modern rock-n-roll, focusing on tight, soaring vocal harmonies. Event coordinators and club owners praise DEJA VU for their meticulous musicianship, incredible stage presentation and high-energy performances. Patrons appreciate the dance-friendly songs and the effort that the band puts forth in ensuring that the crowd has a great time.
Because DÉJÀ VU insists on having the best sound system, a high tech light show, and a polished presentation, you can count on having Fun, Being Entertained, And Leave Wanting to Hear and See More.
