Water Taxi Beach, Governor's Island is Open ..

Water Taxi Beach, Governors Island offers spectacular views of the Brooklyn and Manhattan skylines and the East River Bridges, with a laid back, beach on the waterfront, experience of sun, fun, food and music; with tons of sand, beach volleyball, basketball courts, cafe and outdoor grill and a stage for live performances.

Now open Friday, Saturday and Sunday, during those times that the Island is open to the public, Water Taxi Beach, Governor's Island, is open until 30 minutes before the last ferry back to NYC.


Water Taxi Beach, Governors Island will be accessible from Lower Manhattan on the Governors Island Ferry departing from the Battery Maritime Building and by New York Water Taxi from Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens.

Water Taxi Beach, South Street Seaport

Water Taxi Beach, South Street Seaport is open seven days a week from 11am - 11pm or later. Located on the north side of Pier 17 with spectacular views of the Brooklyn Bridge, Water Taxi Beach will cater to families in search of reasonably priced food and outdoor entertainment on an 18,000 square foot location with signature sandy beach, 9-hole miniature golf course, ping-pong tables and skeeball.

There will also be live music and DJs on the beach every night.

Water Taxi Beach, Long Island City

Located at the New York Water Taxi Hunters Point Ferry stop in Long Island City Queens, our original location offers the best views of the Manhattan skyline this side of The Donald's chopper. This 44,000 square foot beach with 900 tons of sand, boasts brilliant sunshine by day, family friendly atmosphere during the afternoon, a tent for shade, volleyball nets, and music, and entertainment. After dark, Water Taxi Beach is a playground for the 21+ crowd with live music, DJs well as cultural and electronic music events.


Adults who are 21 or older w/ Valid and Proper ID are welcome to be accompanied by their minor children. Unaccompanied minors are never welcome.
