About The Water Tower String Band
The Water Tower String Band, traditional musicians from Portland, Oregon, render bluegrass and its precursor, old-time, in an honest and authentic style. You can enjoy their early American music ranging from mournful ballads and swaying waltzes to raging fiddle tunes and powerful songs. Whether busking on a street corner, playing a show, or just pickin’ on the porch, their infectious love of the music spreads far and wide. Drawing from sources from the Reverend Jesus Tommy Jarrell to Bill Monroe, 78 era recordings to late-night jams, they create hard-driving stringband music that is sure to get the crowd dancing!

We recently self-released our first album, The Squid and the Fiddle. The packaging is printed with environmentally friendly vegetable-based inks on 100% recycled cardboard, by our friends at Stumptown Printers here in Portland. We believe that it is important to minimize our environmental impact and support local businesses! On that note, you can order a copy of our CD through CD Baby, another amazing Portland company, by clicking on the link below!
