Watoo Watoo consist primarily of Pascale & Michaël, who now live in Bordeaux after spending 30 years in Paris and it's suburbs. Michaël usually records new songs on his computer, e-mails friends to help with the guitars & the piano, and then asks Pascale to add her lovely voice. But Pascale is always busy doing something else, so Michaël often needs to ask her some time in advance.
Over 10 years, Watoo Watoo have released 2 albums & 2 E.P.s on various labels throughout the world & have made appearances on an impressive number of compilations.
The music was strictly indiepop in Watoo Watoo's early years, but now other influences have surfaced. "Felt is still an obsession but Serge Gainsbourg also is one. I also discovered a lot of new music in the last few years thanks to the internet, so bossa beats or jazz chords sometimes subconsciously appear when I write a new song", says Michaël.
Watoo Watoo have recently completed recordings on a new CD album, that has been released by Letterbox Records in June 2007. Among the new songs are a melancholic waltz, a pop song with 60s orchestral arrangements, an electronic tune, a bossa and even a funk number resembling a 70s movie soundtrack. Pascale's soft voice and the apparent smoothness of the melodies pull everything together, stamping the Watoo Watoo brand on the entire production.

Although they have played few concerts (this is exhausting), the band played two "Popfests" (New York 1997, Paris 1998) and two concerts (one was radio broadcasted) in San Francisco in 1999. In 2004 the band was invited on TV7 Bordeaux, where 4 songs were recorded live for the TV station.
The band had started making concerts in 2007 -playing live is funny!-.

Je vois que Monsieur a l'oeil ! Effectivement gaucher et sans effectivement les mêmes attraits physique que la Divine Ariane, Chanteuse de Strada. Je peux lui dire de venir si tu veux mais je ne suis pas sûr qu'elle veuille chanter ...
Tu es donc plus intéressé par la chanteuse de Strada que par sa musique ??? :-)) Sinon en ce qui me concerne cela peut être accoustique ou électrique, indifféremment.
En fait tu es en train de causer avec le guitariste de STRADA qui est surtout le musicien unique de Lokomotiv Sofia (celui qui t'ennuie au sujet de Pamela HUTE ; super concert d'ailleurs :-) Donc ce serait moi tout seul avec ma guitare.
Oui oui je sais que vous avez travaillé ensemble. Il apparaît d'ailleurs sur la vidéo de TV7. Ce IGOR est un gars vraiment très sympathique. Je l'aime beaucoup.
Eh bien oui, ce concert de Pamela HUTE était excellent ... J'ai pu enfin récupérer des lunettes. Rendez vous donc le 12 décembre ? Sinon Paris c'est bien ?

Eh oui ... c'est vraiment dommage car je les trouve meilleurs de concert en concert ... Ceci dit tu n'as qu'à attendre la fin de leur progrès. Je te préviendrai :-)
