The WPRS uses a variety of equipment to detect and measure electromagnetic/geomagnetic fields, temperature changes, ionizing radiation, audio, and infrared phenomena in an attempt to obtain scientific evidence of paranormal events. | | Movies | We are available for speaking engagements for your community, service, educational, or social groups. Subjects include ghost research and investigation techniques as well as presentations about various local history and haunts.
| | Television | The WPRS is a TAPS Family Member representing the state of Wisconsin, and an area representative of the American Ghost Society. | | Books | Shawn Blaschka, WPRS Founder, has contributed to several books, including Encyclopedia of Haunted Places by Jeff Belanger, Famous Wisconsin Ghosts and Ghost Hunters by Hannah Heidi Levy and Brian Borton, 21st Century Ghosts by Jason Karl, and Weird Wisconsin by Linda S. About me:
The Wausau Paranormal Research Society (WPRS) is a group of individuals with over 15 years experience investigating the paranormal. Based in Wausau, we conduct investigations throughout the state of Wisconsin. Formed in 2000, The WPRS seeks to collect scientific evidence to aid in understanding paranormal phenomena and events.
Our members are drawn from a number of fields including criminal justice, medicine and communications. Our diverse backgrounds allow the WPRS to approach paranormal investigations from a variety of angles.
