About me:
Young people passionately pursuing a relationship with God
That is the motto of the Christian organization known as WAVE Hawaii. In it's humble beginnings, WAVE Hawaii was a small group of Christians coming together to plan something great for the Lord. As a result, the Summer Bash was planned. The main goal of the event was to gather youth from all around Oahu that were on fire for Christ and hopefully encourage them to lead their friends to God.
At least 200 youth and young adults showed up at Kualoa Ranch for the event. The activities included a praise and worship session, lunch and dinner, a bonfire, and an extreme scavenger hunt in the back forests of Kualoa Ranch. Soon, they were asked to plan it again in 2005.
And thus, the 1st annual Summer Youth Worship Bash began. It took place on August 3, 2005 and more than 1500 people attended and around 140 local churches and youth groups came to share their love for God and participate in the program.
Soon, WAVE Hawaii was skyrocketed into a position as a non-profit organization in January 2006. WAVE Hawaii is commited to young people and driven by their mission to spread the Word of Christ to every youth on Oahu, and soon, every youth in America. This Christian community of people strives to set an example as Christ's ambassadors and still plans events where all are welcome!
