Where did these guys get their sound? If you look a these four boys – hardly any facial hair, out-of-bed hair, dreamy eyes – and listen to their amazing sound – 60s Brit-Pop, retro organ, shuffle rhythms – that can’t possibly be the same band?! And yet it is. It seems as if Waves Of Joy were alive 50 years ago. Their lightfooted Pop, the groovy guitars – it makes you want to hit the dancefloor! Chris (vocals, guitar), Manu (bass) and Sönke (drums) do not only call themselves Waves Of Joy – they produce them, too! A line from a Beatles song inspired the band name. They just don’t make any mistakes…
