   About Waves of Nightingales
This project started a couple of years ago when I acquired an Indian instrument called a Bulbul Tarang. When I found out that the name translates as "Waves of Nightingales" I knew I had to base a musical project around it.

I also am currently a member of the duo One Human Minute (with Paul Dickow, aka Strategy) and the group Smoke and Mirrors. Recently I have also played a few shows as a adjunct member of Moodring. Looking back, I was part of the long-running (but slow moving) psych group group the MomeRaths as well as the chaotic fireball that was Space Hawk (and reaching back further, A John Henry Memorial, , and Entertainment.) I have also appeared on recordings by some friends, namely The Plants, Rollerball, and Nudge.

Recently I've been joined by my wife, Sarah (Two Oboes, Space Hawk) in my pursuit of the nightingales.

Waves of Nightingales I appreciate your friendship and being part of my life. I believe that every single person who enters our life is there for a reason and everybody has a gift to give. Life to me is a remembering process and it is about sharing that remembrance. I write blogs for that purpose and I would like to share with you the gift of my remembrance: please view my blog by going here http://blog.myspace.com/135620083 and please subscribe if you consider it something of value.

We all remember different things so if you have a blog you would like to share please invite me; I would be grateful for the present indeed.

Canticle of Brother Sun

Most High Almighty Good Lord, Yours are praise, glory, honor and all blessings; To You alone! Most High, do they belong, and no man is worthy of speaking Your Name!

Be praised, Lord, with all Your creatures, and above all our Brother Sun, who gives us the day by which You light our way, and who is beautiful, radiant and with his great splendor is a symbol to us of You, O Most High!

And be praised, Lord, for our Sister Moon and the Stars. You created them in the heavens bright, precious and beautiful!

And be praised, Lord, for our Brother the Wind and for the air and the clouds and for fair weather and for all other through which You sustain Your creatures.

And be praised, Lord, for our Sister Water, so useful, and humble, and chaste!

And be praised, my Lord, for our Brother Fire, through whom You light up the night and who is handsome, joyful, robust, and strong!

And be praised, my Lord, for our Sister, Mother Earth, who supports and carries us and produces the diverse fruits and colorful flowers and trees!

Praise and bless the Lord and give thanks to Him and serve Him with great humility!

Be praised, my Lord, for our Sister, bodily Death from whom no living man can escape!

Woe only to those who die in mortal sin; but blessed are those who have done Your most holy will; for the second death can cause them no harm!

Saint Francis of Assisi
