Wax Poetic is to me a feeling of where I am at the moment. It is a band/project that I started with the aim of having a changing cast of members rather than the usual band thing....it's pretty much me and my friends that I meet along my journey.
And ofcourse Nublu has had a big influence on this project or vice versa...Nublu is a club and record label that I have in NYC , in East Village, Manhattan. It is a place where artists meet , talk , dance and create new projects. Wax Poetic actually started before I opened Nublu , so I guess the spirit of it goes hand in hand. Lately I have been doing shows as Wax Poetic Brasil with Nina Becker , Otto and Thalma de Freitas from Brasil and as Wax Poetic Istanbul with Nil Karaibrahimgil, Dilara Sakpinar and Bora Uzer..all from Istanbul. And now I am in the midst of making the next Wax Poetic album which will be an all english lyric one.. it will be an exciting album with lots of cool guests..
Wax Poetic is the project where the intention is vocals and singers and the collaborations...and ofcourse a cast of great musicians behind all of this. Unlike some other bands I have ...I led 3 lives , Love Trio , Wonderland ..which are all instrumental based..but also sometimes they have vocal guests but its not the main focus for those projects.....
Over the last years Wax Poetic has had many guests and members in the band....

who am I? I don't know exactly ...still trying to understand I guess but lots of things to be done ... I have a club in New York city called nublu which is the coolest place in the world. Almost Tomorrow is the third full length collaboration album from Section 27 Netlabel founders Tam Ferrans and Andrew Paterson, under their Nonima & theAudiologist guise. This time around the sound is more melodic, and has a definite feeling of a complete and more mature sound than heard on the previous LP's "Dystopian Battle Hymns" and "Ceremony After Amputation". If you are familiar with their individual projects you may even be in for a slight surprise, as the tracks are not as beat driven like before, but are more atmospheric and sound, well... "bigger". In its 75 minutes, Almost Tomorrow takes you on a trip from the digital rain-soaked cavernous scraping in "Thoughtograph", the ethereal beat jittering of "The Colour of Rain", intercepted transmissions from unknown places in "Com-Intercept", "Ganzfeld"s huge yet strangely insect-like beats until everything you knew comes crashing around you in "Almost Tomorrow". Burning pianos, glitched out soundscapes and intricately programmed beatplay, this may well be their best work to date. Consider it the soundtrack to a rainy overcast day, but with just that glimmer of sunshine peeking from the clouds. "Almost Tomorrow" wears its heart on its sleeve.
