KitaplarBeing such an incredible story there were many suggestions over the years for Waylon to write a book about his life. He often joked that "too many people'd get killed or divorced if I told everything I knew." He turned down a number of extremely lucrative offers over the years for a 'sensational' version. Waylon's incredible story was finally made available to the world in 1996, in his self-titled autobiography. Much to his credit, and as testament to his character, it did not contain the all the sordid details that he could have easily recounted. Waylon wrote this with seasoned musician and writer Lenny Kaye. It is still available [hardcover, paperback and audiobook with Waylon reading] at many retailers, or online at places like Amazon.com
KahramanlarıWaylon counted his father and Muhammad Ali as heroes. And, I think it's perhaps safe to say that Lil Miss Jessi Colter was likely Waylon's biggest hero - or she had autta been!! "Together, we're one --- divided, we're through...."

Howdy, W.J. It's good to still see all those shots of you doing what you do best. Please give my best to Johnny and June, et. al., and if you see a lady up there who's prettier than a speckled pup under a red wagon, that'd be my dearly departed, Ms. Carolyn Jane. Tell her I miss her, and that I named my wolf cub after her. He's just over 3 months old. Mr. Jennings, I recall watching the Buck Owens show in the late sixties, and there was this cool, rockabilly cat with a fancy telecaster and a nehru jacket with beads around his neck. I think that was about the coolest guy I ever saw on television. Well, I hope you don't mind me dropping in on you unannounced like this. I had a feeling that you wouldn't mind. Your fan, rfwagnerjr

Six years ago today my heart was broken upon hearing the news of your death. I can't imagine the pain your family feels for your loss as they really knew you. My dream was some day to meet you but that dream along with you passed. I hope you are resting in peace. You are sorely missed everyday.

I met Waylon's brother last year at Dukes Fest in Nasville, TN.,
and met Shooter at Dukes Fest in Bristol TN., a years few ago.
