I've done a lot of stuff in my life but when my tombstone is chiseled, not a lot of it would be consided noteworthy. I've tried hard to do well at anything I've done. I usually come close ~ except when it comes to Love. I keep blowing that one. But I'm still working on it... anyone got any pointers?
Anything late-70s or early-80s will always be the best. Those were my high school and military years. But, also I like some specific songs from contemporary groups too. Linkin' Park "What I've Done", several Nickelback songs like "Photograph", Greenday's "When September Ends" .
In Harm's Way, The Thomas Crown Affair, Serendipity, Entrapment, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Connie and Carla, National Treasure, Apollo 13, The Mummy, The Bourne Trilogy, The Dirty Dozen, The Guns of Navarrone (loved Anthony Quinn), and The Divinci Code.
I have always had an admiration for Law Enforcement and Private Investigators on TV, even if they werent always considered "believable". Dragnet (Jack Webb), The Rockford Files, Magnum P.I. and (one of my all time favorite series): Hill Street Blues.
Anything to do with Stormchasing gets my attention every time.
"The Hunt for Red October" (I read it *before* the Movie came out and it was better), "Flight of the Old Dog", "Chicken Hawk" which are all war stories..
Police Officers, Firefighters, Military Men and Women, and Teachers. Why? The first three put themselves in-harms-way for the rest of us; and Teachers build the world of tomorrow, 30 or so children at a time.
And they all do it without enough pay.
NOW
This clip will only make sense to a STORMCHASER, but it is HILARIOUS, and representative of the pressures some professional chasers find themselves under... :)
TRAVELLING THE WORLD
These are all of the places I have been in my life.
John Wayne. He was America's original ICON.
