DangerWayne started out as a recording project with Antoine Perkins of MonsterMovies,(River of Wine) (Pretty Snky Sis) Chris Burney, (The Sun) (Grafton) and Tim O'Dell ( Mors Ontologica) (The Rosehips) (Skilletlickers). Most of the songs were outtakes of rehearsals during Perkins brief musical hiatus in 2004. Through Burney's urging, Perkins was able to release 2006's "When Words Collide". The songs on the Cd also include a guest appearance with Marvin the Robot (No Monsters, No Rivers). And numbers such as "Vanity in Cowtown" and "Close Enough" get help from Burney's guitar work.
The buzz from the debut was so postive that Perkins decided to gather live performers and take the act on the road. Add Jamie T. on bass and Dana Clark on drums. The addition changed the sound to a more heavier sound with a hint of 90's low-fi. You can hear this in songs like "Cortisol Damage" and "Cloak".
