Many different ones over a period of time. Here are some of them. Marky Ramone (Bell) Tommy Ramone, Greg Van Cook, Elliot Michaels, Jimmy and Tommy Marcus, The Geary Bros, Mick Ronson, Val Haller, J. J. Johnson, Henry Padavoni (Original member of the Police.) JERRY NOLAN (Second drummer for The New York Dolls) There are more!!! Wayne*s first well known NYC band was Queen Elizabeth. Not named after the Queen of England, but after a drag queen in Atlanta, Ga. named Queen Elizabeth! She was infamous after getting a job modeling women*s clothes at a top Atlanta dept. store, but was *found out* one day, when the manager accidently walked in on Queen Elizabeth, as she/he was changing dresses!!! OOOPS! SURPRISE!!! Wayne*s next band was The Backstreet Boys. Yes, that is correct! THE BACKSTREET BOYS!!! You can hear Wayne County And The Backstreet Boys on the track, *Max*s Kansas City* which has appeared on several Punk comps over the years. Not many people know this and it is only documented in one book, but the name of the band that Wayne sung with back in the 60*s in Atlanta, Ga. was called The Catacombs, named after the coffee house on Atlanta*s 14th street. They were often referred to as the Catacombs house band and they backed up an array of early, Atlanta, Hippie Dippies! So, enough said for now! Ta Ta!!! xxx WoodrinaAdd to My Profile | More Videos

Influences
This could go on foever. Here are some. The Yardbirds, Velvet Underground, 60*s Garage Punk, Nuggets etc. Early Rolling Stones, and Pretty Things. Early Stooges. DUSTY SPRINGFIELD, (The Image!!!) The British Invasion in general, and the Folk Rock Movement with early, Dylan like *Highway 61 Revisited.* That is mostly musically speaking. And one of Wayne*s earliest role models was Atlanta, Georgia*Add to My Profile | More Videoss DIAMOND LIL!!! Wayne County And The Electric Chairs - Cry Of Angels
Are you kidding. Wayne*s voice is one of a kind. But there are heavy Mick Jagger, and Howlin Wolf influences. Early blues vocals. The music sounds like The Yardbirds on too much acid! Thrown in with some Jimmy Reed blues and Country Rock and Roll and some tracks from the *Nuggets* collections, with a large pinch of early Rolling Stones played with Punk Spirit and Rock and Roll grit. The vocals sometimes are atune to The Seeds and Count Five, and The Chocolate Watch Band. Yes, I know! All male singers!!! But the stage movements and hand gestures are pure Edif Piaf, Marlena Dietrich and Dusty Springfield!

MORE INFO ON WAYNE COUNTY. Wayne was a Trans/Glam/Punk pioneer. We are talking WAY BEFORE, the terms Glam or Punk were even invented. Wayne dosn*t mind people taking her/his ideas as long as Wayne gets the due credit. Alot of artists have come along and copied many of Wayne*s ideas, as well as the entire subject matter of his/her LIFE. What you have to remember is, that back in the late 60*s and before the Glam/Punk 70*s there was only ONE Trans Rock artist and that was Wayne/Jayne County. Others have come after, but Wayne is truly the FIRST and ORIGINAL! And, yes there were a few disco trannies like Amanda Lear, but that was DISCO not Rock, and Wayne was performing ROCK AND ROLL. His first performance was in 1966! Also there was a Trans artist in Paris who performed and recorded some *pop* songs, but that is far from being a Glam/Punk/Rock, pioneer!!! So, enough said. Read it all for yourself in Jayne*s book, *Man Enough To Be A Woman* OR read all about Wayne/Jayne County on her web site, jaynecounty.com ALSO COMING OUT SOON is a double cd compilation of Wayne Jayne County avalible on import from Virgin and Tower and many more stores!
