WM also supports the fight against animal cruelty. Don't turn a blind eye to helpless animals. Don't kill animals inhumane. Don't chain a dog up all day every day. We all feel pain the same way emotionally and physically. Have respect, and be a stand up human being. If you notice neglect or cruelty, do something. Take a stand, and make a difference.

Anyone I've had conversations with along my journey of life, everywhere I've been, and every choice I've made has made me who I am.

An acoustic, a mic, a tambourine, and a few harmonicas.
A true Independent musician in every sense of the word, Wayne is a seasoned professional musician/entertainer performing 4 decades of great music. Wayne has been performing parties, clubs, restaurants, weddings, bars, and special events in the New England area for over a decade, and is a prime fixture in Western, MA, Cape Cod and Coastal Maine.
Morphew works the entertainment circuit performing cover songs in his own unique way as a job, (song list in blog area) both solo, and with his duo acoustic group called Half Lit.
He balances these performances all while staying true to his passion: his original music and songwriting.
Wayne prides himself on professionalism, vocal quality, talent, song choices for all ages, and entertainment. He not only can bring in a crowd, but will keep your customers there. Morphew also uses state-of-the-art Bose compact sound for any size room or event, excelling in clarity and volume control.
Wayne is also the frontman of Drunk in July, a rock band that started back in 1994. The band went on to make 2 successful albums, and performed nonstop throughout the northeast; touring, selling out venues, working radio, and doing music store signings until 2006.
He funds, promotes, and markets his own CD's at every show, and online. Make it a point to come out some time to catch a performance. Eventually, he'll be tagging along a full band, and is slated to hit the studio again in the near future. Here's a review from WM's debut solo CD:
"Drunk In July former frontman Wayne Morphew goes solo on Six Stories, a catchy collection of acousti-rock that's a shoo-in for next year's Grammy in the category of 'Best album to listen to while your boat is parked on the beach of that island across from Mitch's Marina.'
That is, the radio-friendly tracks on Six Stories seem written for those nights when you can still feel the sun in your shoulders and Monday seems a month away. And while a set of mid-tempo rockers that recalls the mid-90s heyday of mid-tempo rockers could easily go awry, tracks like the slide-tinged "Not Smiling Anymore" offer decent depth.
Morphew has a made-for-FM voice that hovers somewhere between the best Jon bon Jovi has to offer and a less obnoxious version of that guy from Seven Mary Three; his vocals manage to be earnest and emotional without lingering too long in growly rock-guy land. That also means that it's not hard to imagine that the songs on Six Stories would work just as well in solo settings as they do as full-band arrangements; either way, the crowd's sure to be singing along.
Come to think of it, you'd be doing yourself a favor by inviting Morphew to your next bonfire -- especially if you're hosting it somewhere on the sandy shores of the Connecticut River."
