ALSO CHECKOUT www.campbellamericanguitars.com they make the Precix which is the baddest little axe out there right now! Go to the site and click on PLAYERS and find my name, click it and come right back here!lol....
Influences
I love music in all forms and styles. I don't prefer one over the the other but these are just some of the artists who have infuenced me or that I lean toward the most: fred hammond, freda battle and all her groups, jonathan dubose, most gospel, beatles, hendrix, elmore james, prince, the time, david bowie, elton john, talking heads, parliament funkadelic, roy ayers, miles davis, george benson, wes montgomery, grant green, joe satriani, greg howe, tony mcalpine, lee ritenour, larry carlton, jef lee johnson, jesse johnson, doobie bros, allman bros, eagles, scott henderson, roy clark, joe pass, hiram bullock, Walter Beasley (the best singer/saxophonist I know), all the wonderful local bands like Usual Suspecks, NeonSoul Collective, Sirius Bizness, Herman Johnson, Rollins Ross and Soulsource and I know I've left out over half of my favorites. I apologize because there many more.
Sounds Like
A guy trying to play everything he possibly can on guitar and influenced by many great musicians, but yet still sounds like WayneRichard-a guy who gets called mostly for Smooth Jazz, Gospel, R&B, Funk, Rock, Pop Electric/Acoustic guitar.
Would have never thought any of this was going to happen for me. God is good and despite many obstacles starting way back before my birth and throughout my life he has been with me every step of the way. I play guitar, bass, and make musical sounds with other items sometimes even with other humans-lol. I educate youth through music and social studies in Boston, Mass. and have worked with a few local bands like The Bello Project, Serious Bizness with Webster Roach, Steady Pressure with Joe Davis jr, The Ray Greene Band, The Neon Soul Collective down in Providence, Rhode Island at the Blackrep(you can hear me playing with them on their Myspace page too!), and the Walter Beasley Band on the road.
Over the years I've had the pleasure of performing/recording, (*or opening/closing for*) with many local and national acts such as Freda Battle, Yolanda Adams, Clarence Powell, Clarence Thomson Sr. and the New Spirits, Parkes Stewart, Maurice Starr, Andre Ward, Walter Beasley, Unek Aproach, FirstClass w/Concetta, Soul of Boston, Stardust, Moonglow, Marcus Roberts, *Doc Powell, Roberta Flack, Smokie Norful, Norman Brown, Paul Jackson Jr., Dave Dyson, Marcus Johnson, Commisioned, Kiki Sheard, J. Moss, Rachelle Farrell, Marion Meadows, Patti Austin, Keiko Matsui, Gerald Albright, Larry Carlton, Bob James, Nathan East, Harvey Mason, Brian McKnight, etc*. When time allows I compose and create musical ideas also.
Take time for reflection and meditation. Be focused on your life's purpose, And take care in making forward strides. While you do these important things, Cherish the NOW moments.
God's blessings!
Have a fulfilling and productive remainder of the week!

That sounds like a plan. They have some open jams we could crash around here too. I have been working with repetoire in Bachata, but I don't want to lose my jazz/funk chops. I like what you have up on your space now. Hopefully we can show each other some stuff, Clay
