Wayne also runs "The Drum Collective" a fun, therapeutic and skill based drumming and rythmn workshop , for all levels and age groups, these workshops are nationwide and outside of Ireland they correspond with touring
schedules.
Jeff and Wayne have completed the second Australian tour with the Armada and also a very comprehensive number of high profile acoustic shows.it was a great success.
..Canada /Germany /Switzerland/Norway are also in the loop for the ARMADA for this year.They also hope to get into Kingdom studios at some stage to /demo some of the new songs they have composed...Wayne is currently producing records and working on a film score for Songlines Entertainment USA .Also a TV show which he has written and produced.Directed and edited byE J Carr THE LAST PUB IN IRELAND -MUSIC/DRAMA.
.He returned from Australia and recorded/co wrote 6 tracks with Fergus McGovern and Clune (David Gray drummer).
He has just completed the production and co writing on the new album by The indian Tea Company,mixing to commence shortly by Andy Knightly (yes he is related to that other Knightly), and is currently writing with Tania Nasibian ,the amazing Australian /Greek , world singer ...currently based in Sydney.
The Armada are preparing for there German /Dutch tour in August /Sept and an appearance on the the highly rated German TV show Rockpalast.October ..which Wayne has appeared on previously with Carl Carlton and Robert Palmer.
After this Wayne is involved in a theatre production in The Dublin Theatre festival and then on to Australia for a very comprehensive acoustic tour with Jeff and Jay and some wonderful suprise guests .Wayne will be work shopping again during this tour.... He will also be taking a break over Christmas in case
anyone was wondering , that is of course after tracking Tanias album in Australia in December .
Thankyou Wayne for sharing your love and passion @ the drum collective workshop in Freo yesterday. I especially liked the Pow Wow sessions. A wonderful energy was felt-shared by all as we drummed in unison with each other. Musical meditation....calms the mind and soul.... This years festival is headlined by Billy Bragg (Friday), Seth Lakeman (Sunday) and Peatbog Faeries (Saturday) with many more top artists also performing incl the award winning The Demon Barbers.
