I have a wide taste in music and i think this reflects in my sound, theres defintely a beatle tinge to a lot of my songs as they have been a big part of my life for as long as i can remember, also you may hear hints of Pink Floyd, Ennio Morricone,brit- pop:), rock and classical all thrown in to the mix.
Sounds Like
The Beat of the beatles scattered with floydian moondust, topped off with spaghetti of morricone and cheese of pop.
I've been a songwriter ever since i got my first guitar at 13 and over the years i have recorded on everything from little tape decks to nowadays my daw
After a very difficult 2006 personally, I decided in 2007 to finally unleash some of my music on to more than just close family and friends and this lead to the release of my first cd "Nomany" which is on sale now at cdbaby and for download at various sites including iTunes (link below)
"Nomany" reflects my love of music in general with a wide taste in musical styles featured from the punkish "alright" to gentle acoustic ballads like "lately" to the pop / rockish hymn like"The E-minor with no name" and at the moment I get out and about playing some open mics which are proving great (nervous) fun to do!, but hope to expand that soon to gigs on my own!.
My new cd "Touch the Sky" is now out at cdbaby.com (see link below), the 14 new all original songs again showcase my love of all styles of music, it's also a lot darker in places than "Nomany" which I again am liking especially in tunes like "The pledge" the most personal song i've ever put out and "Brother John" my lament and tribute to my hero John lennon, as ever though i lift my chin(s) with some poppier sunnier moments "shadows of enio" a orgasmic (for me recording it anyway!!) mix of morricone influence guitars, chants, brass married to a beatlesque beat and a yearning lyric about escaping the safety of my current life!, "urs2nite" a cheeky ode to a seven year unnatainable crush of mine!!, and "napoli (pt 1)" a reggaeish popfest about my italian adventures last year!.
Any thoughts, comments, feedback on my music is always gratefully recieved.

Just a quick message about Monday nights at The Swan from the organiseres of the open mic night.
Thanks to everyone who has been coming down over the last month, we have met some great new singers, performers and songwriters. The nights have been getting more and more popular and last Monday saw James Nathan host 6 acts to a busy room. Cool.
We want you to know our idea is to have a great night every Monday at the Swan, anyone can turn up and plug in and play from first timers to hardened proffesionals, just bring down your instrument and woo us all!!!
One other thing, if you dont play any instrument or worse, you freely admit to being tone deaf, you can still enjoy our night. Just come down to Ironbridge every Monday and enjoy the music!!
