About me:
Hello Friends;
I'm a gospel, blues and folk singer living in New Orleans. My music started in 1970 when I decided to start strumming the guitar for fun with some of my hippy friends. We occasionally had little folk get togethers and jam sessions, usually in one of the local parks, and played some of the protest songs of the day with a few traditional folk songs thrown in ... I was living in Washington State then.
These days, I'm starting a musical career that I hope will turn into something. New Orleans is a wonderful place for musicians and artists of all kinds and it would have been a terrible loss if the ciy had been left flooded out and abandoned like some suggested right after Katrina. I came here without a thought about music although with the guitar and voice I take everywhere I go. When the musicians came back after the storm, I found out WHY so many of them stay here.
I've been playing since 1970 and singing about five years longer than that, having gotten involved in that when I joined my high school choral group. Much of my music is gospel although I do not restrict myself to that. The only rule I DO have is that I don't play "nasty" stuff ... songs that are not family friendly, containing obscene lyrics, strong sexual references, etc. which is so common in rock and rap these days.
I'm a born again Christian and identify most closely with the Quakers although I currently am a member of an Episcopal church.
I am married with no children.

Who I'd like to meet:
I'm only interested in other musicians who are drug free. I prefer to work with other Christians. I am NOT interested in dating proposals, hot chatting, etc. so please try that elsewhere.
