Woodbine are a four piece bluegrass/acoustic country band formed in 2002.
We have played all the Irish bluegrass and related festivals since our formation, these include the Athy Bluegrass Festival, Omagh Bluegrass Festival (Ulster American Folk Park), Dunmore-East Bluegrass Festival, Bluegrass on the Walls Festival(Derry), Banjo Festival (Longford), Rhythm & Roots Festival (Kilkenny), Guiness & Oyster Bluegrass W/end (Kilkenny), Airfield House Urban Roots Festival (Dublin).
We have released two albums "Shades O' Grass" 2004, and "Tulla Hill" 2007. Tulla Hill featured 2 of our own songs the title track "Tulla Hill" and "A Match Made In Heaven". Both albums have been very well received.

Hi Guys, We just heard you got yourselves a 'banjo' man in the band. I can only hope you did some deep thinking before making such a delicate move:-) Just kiddin' of course : Richard is a real nice guy and a fine banjopicker. We're thrilled to hear he's found a roof to play his banjo under with some fine people like Woodbine ! Can't wait to pick with you'all in Westport! By the way , I do have a pic of your new banjo man somewhere in an empty shoebox. Is this the fella ?
