Chris DiPaola signed on the air with WBLQ on December 8, 1997. DiPaola founded WCTD 1620 AM in August 1994 which was the flagship of his low power transmitter business. This station evolved into what is WBLQ today. 1230 WBLQ provides various formats of music and talk shows daily.
