I went through a period in my life where I believed I needed to paint like the old masters of the renaissance. Meticulous detailed layers of oil on small rigid substrates. It really made no sense though. This painting had no real use until it was refitted with a thermometer to measure global warming. It's a green product now. It has form & function; my designer edict.

Everything just ends badly and there really seems to be no meaning at all in the universe.
The absurdists spoke the truth. My nation, the once almighty superpower, has
slipped behind Europe and Japan currency to currency and the rust belt just keeps getting
rustier. I peer into this incendiary world daily through my digital portal always expecting
something even more brutal than the day before. I am an observer of life in this
digital age and of the history before it. I can't identify with the polychrome veneer of the
Impressionists anymore than I can believe in the plastic society espoused by the Pop
Artists. The world I live in is unlike any before. The aesthetics and truisms of the artists
and artworks are an undeniable source of inspiration and tangible proof that there
were/are others that have strayed from the well-beaten path.
What I have to offer to the art world is just pessimism, doom, and stark reality as I understand
it. I do not subscribe to any art movements and from the academic perspective,
I am an "outsider" artist as I am a professional designer first. My artistic philosophy
is to move forward and create art of the present. The art, the materials and means
are collectively in my time of existence.

Year: 2008 A.D.
Medium: Charcoal, acrylic emulsions/glazes, oxidized copper leafing and hair ripped from a baglady's head on canvas.
To obtain the hair used within the painting, I paid a princely sum of $2.00 (U.S.) to an old woman living on the streets for the wretched lock. After payment was tendered, it was realized that we had no scissors to cut the hair, so we proceded to rip the hair out of her greasy head. She was too drunk to realize the bleeding wound it had left on her scalp. The hair was bonded to canvas with an acrylic medium. I believe it was a fair price and I feel good about myself for helping someone in need.

no, u should not thank me, the pleasure is all mine that i found u, yr work is excellent, very thought inspiring. god died of aids a long time back, when we didnt know there was aids....but to find out this is so...this is a painting i made two years back, "in the name of god - the inquisition" and wrote this, i think i had share it with u.

I see the burning piers, for all the monsters to admire;
The flames burns alight, and the ropes very tight;
Ah! the evil beauty, which hides the bloody beast;
Which grows and writhe, in every one's mind;
Oh! this heinous monstrosity, doesn't seems to me a reality;
Yet it is not so foggy, as my dreams used to be;
It seems painfully bleary, all at once fiery and watery;
As the fire grows high, i hear the tortured cries;
that is one of the most depressing posts i have ever read. Thank you ,if you visit my website it might be the only thing that puts a smile back on my face.

Althought i do love the first wave or two of punk rock, the initial urgency is muted. I'm good today. I've been reading alot and keeping myself busy in the paradox that is my life.
