ABOUT OUR CHIEF APOSTLE: Our Chief Apostle,Dr. Joseph D.Timmons Sr.,M.A.C.Ed.Thd.D.D has had the hand of God upon his life from a child. Chief Apostle Joseph D.Timmons Sr, was raised by his Grandmother The Late State Mother Estella Timmons. C.O.G.I.C. She recognized the call upon her Grandmother as a baby. She raised, him in the things of God. Our Chief Apostle preached his 1st trail sermon at age 8 under the Leadership of Bishop N.C Durrat, and again at 11 year old, under Bishop W.M Gaines. Our Chief Apostle Continued his Ministry under Dr.M.E. Brice until his call to lead. In the year of Our Lord 1989 our Chief Apostle met and married the love of his life, Dr. Esther M.Hall Timmons and from this 20 year union God has birthed. Many things into their lives, 1st three beautiful children Joseph Jr. Timmons, age 18, Tyrika Marie Timmons, age 17, and Danielle Nicole Timmons, age 16, all of whom are filled with the HOLY GHOST. Also,through this Union God called our Chief Apostle to Pastor,THE UPPERROOM BIBLEWAY CHURCH OF DELIVERANCE INC.which is now THE GREATER OF DELIVERANCE INC. Together they have birthed/Founded serveral difference Churches and Ministries.In the year of our Lord 1995,the Lord moved againe, calling our Chief Apostle to lead THE GREATER TEMPLE OF TRUTH WORLD-WIDE CHURCHES OF DELIVERANCE INC.with fifteen church following this Organization was born.THE WORLD-WIDE CHURCHES OF DELIVERANCE is a FIVE-FOLD MINISTRY OF DELIVERANCE:
C H U R C H B E L I E F / S T A T E M E N T Having beed led, as we believe, by the Spirit of God to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior, and on the profession of our faith,having been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we do now in the presence of God, angels,and this assemble, most solemnly and joyfully enter into covenant with one another as one body in Christ. We engage, therefore, by the aid of the Holy Spirit, to walk together in christian love; to strive for the advancement of this church, in knowledge, holiness, and comfort;to promote its prosperity and spiritually; to sustainits worship,ordinances, discipline and doctrines;to contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the ministry, the expenses of the church, the relief of the poor, and to spreading the gospel through all nations. We also engage maintain family and secret devotions; to religiously educate our children to seek the salvation of our kindred and acquaintances; to walk circumspectly in the world; to be just in our dealings; faithful in our engagement and exemplary in our character; to avoid all tattling, backbiting, and excessive anger; to abstain from the sale and use of intoxicating drinks as a beverage; and to be zealous in our efforts to advance the kingdom of our Saviour. We further engage to watch over one another in brotherly love; to remember each other in prayer; to aid each other in sickness and distress; to cultivate christian sympathy infeeling and courtesy speech; to be slow to take offense, but always ready for reconciliation, and mindful of the rules of our Saviour to secure it without delay. We moreover engage that when we remove from this place we will, as soon as possible, unite with some other church where we can carry out the spirit of this covenant and the principles of God's word.
