What a beautiful library! The stained glass windows are incredible. I'll have to visit this one the next time I'm in Pennsylvania.

    Best,

A poem provided in observance of National Poetry Month.

    Crystal Clear Blue Skies

    Towers weep on peaceful shores.
    Crystal clear blue skies.
Across the water, we answered the call,
    Never questioning why.

Race over the berm and down the road,
    Rebuilding ancient Babylon.
Smiles, waves, and shouts of joy.
Gratuities of hidden fire and roadside bombs.

Blistering sun and mouths full of sand,
White salt stains chalk the skin.
Handshake through a turret gun sight,
    Peace attempted to win.

    Pain, anxiety, disillusionment,
    Seek comfort in each other.
Go back again, one more time,
Only for my sister or brother.

Happy Easter! I hope it's a great one for you.

I'm not sure if you'll be at the Public Library Association conference this week in Minneapolis, but I'll be promoting my new book, Paraworld Zero, at booth #1326, under the banner of "Parallel Worlds LLC." Perhaps I'll see you there.

Thanks for the ad. I hope you'll check out my new novel, GIVING UP THE GHOST. It’s my dearest wish that its themes of fear, grief, and forgiveness, leavened with humor and gripped by a ghostly mystery, will bring comfort and healing to young readers living with uncertainty in unsettling times.
